99 TL my odometer and outside temperature
On my 99 TL my odometer and outside temperature is so hard to see during the day. Any suggest making it more visible during the day. The dimmer switch doesn’t do anything to view it any better. Thanks!

I have the same problem... well, only on half of the actual display. I'm guessing its a light thats burnt out, and I suppose you have to replace the whole damn odometer panel, and I dont know if you'd want to do this. i'm curious about this too, because it does bug me.

Yes, I have checked the fuses.

I did a search on this and someone had mentioned that the voltage regulator in the instrument cluster is at fault. I'm replacing that piece and putting everything back together as we speak.
I've tested it and it seems to work! Now the only thing is that my turn signals don't work... I'll give the full update when I finish.

I put everything back together and the turn signals now work. It seems that they rely on a plug other than the 3 that plug directly into the instrument cluster.
The new voltage regulator fixed the light when the car is in SSM mode but did not fix the odometer lighting. I will have to remove the gauge cluster again to make sure that the LEDs were put in the right way.
I tested during the day but I guess it was not plugged in correctly!
Oh and also when I started up the car and turned on the lights, the bulb for the clock blew. You cannot imagine my frustration.

The voltage regulator looks like this:
And it plugs right into the back of the gauge cluster. Very simple fix.
It cost me $54.68 after tax from the Acura dealership. You can probably find this part cheaper at the Honda dealership or even online. I just didn't have the time to go look or wait for it to be shipped to me.

Is all your lights working now? guess I'll buy a voltage regulator when it stops raining down here and replace it. Anything I should know to make the work easier?
