2003 Acura TL 3.2 Transmission Issue

While driving my 2003 Acura TL 3.2 (288,418 miles) the vehicle holds at 20 mph at 2,000r/min. Roughly 20-30 seconds later the car begins to increase speed gradually at the same 2,000r/min. My mechanic completed a ATF change to OEM ATF directly from the Acura dealership. This issue still seems to occur, any possible suggestions as to what the problem may be and what can be done to correct the issue?

Note:
* Issue occurs while driving in D4 and D5
* Vehicle shudders when placed in reverse and D5
* Check engine light on that reads a O2 sensor code.
* spark plugs last changed roughly 1 year ago.

not sure what atf the previous owner had in the vehicle. Not sure if it makes sense to rebuild the tranny or finance a used vehicle. Any suggestions?

Holy smoke I guess another 50k is worth the price of getting a new one.

Installing a '06-'07 Accord V6 trans in your TL will be cheaper than a (worthwhile) car of any price.

Agree. I put in a '07 V6 Accord in my '03 TL Type S almost 100k miles ago and it's still going strong. Cost me about $1,700 between the cost of the transmission and installation.

my '99 transmission failed at 99,000 miles and Acura replaced (after they extended warranty to 100k. That one lasted another 85k and it died. Replaced with an 07 and it currently has 267,000 on the original transmissions. As others have mentioned above, the Accord transmission replacement (if you can find one) seems to be a good alternative.
Good luck.
