Routine maintenance?

Hey whats up guys,
So I have an 03 TL and im at about 116,000 miles and i was just wondering all of what needs to be done maintenance wise like spark plugs, filters ect. I'm not so worried about oil because I do that regularly but the tranny and brake fluids would be nice to know. Although what ever information would be very help full and I would just like to thank everybody in advance, I'm not on here much.

check brake fluid, coolant flush? Check if the transmission fluid is pink? Drain and refill 3x3 or 1x3. Air filter needs to be changed if it hasnt been that only costs about 9$ a autozone. Also check if your coils need to be replaced, hows the suspension? Stabilizer links and bushing? Shocks and struts looking good?

Hey Delusive Ghost, how long have you owned the car....and what all, if any type of maintenance has already been done ? How about the 105k T-belt service ? Has the tranny been replaced at some point ?

10 years and 116k is at a turning point where many things are showing signs of normal wear and tear. A complete under-carriage inspection of the suspension, steering, brakes and exhaust would best be done on a lift. Replace the brake and ps fluids with Honda spec.

A tune-up should be done using NGK plugs, air filter, pcv valve, clean egr passageways, and adjust valves. Check all vac and electrical connections/grounds.

A tranny drain & fill using Honda ZL1 fluid is advised to be done once a year. If the 105k T-belt was done, that's a plus. Otherwise, pressure check the coolant system.....do the T-belt service. This should include all the associated T-belt parts, along with new coolant, hoses and drive belts. Start a checklist and knock out the simple "DIY" stuff yourself.

If ya got the original coolant hoses, ya may wanna check them all !
Replacing old hoses and belts are cheap insurance against bigger issues.

Most times, at the 105 T-belt service.....it's a good opportunity to replace the hoses and belts. Reason being that due to the age
deterioration and associated wear, it's a smart "PM" item to do !

Hey thanks very much guys!!!
Well I have owned the car for a little over a year and I have replaced the tranny, and the T-belt was done before I got the car, thank god!
I try to mainly keep up with all of the DIY stuff but I may have missed a couple stupid things, although Im not too knowledgeable about cars. I havent done anything with the suspension or coils or under-carriage.

Check the site's DIY sticky for more info on basic problem areas.

An '03 @ 116k shouldn't be real bad with the undercarriage things, but it would'nt hurt to have the brakes, suspension and steering checked on a lift. Many shops offer a low cost inspection along with an estimate for any potential problems.

If the 105k T-belt service was performed recently, chances are good that the plugs and coolant are fresh. You could pull one plug and see how it appears, if originals.....you'll be able to tell. With the tranny replaced, just do a yearly drain & fill using 3 qts. of Honda DW1 fluid. Other than that....run some fuel system cleaner in the tank and consider cleaning the EGR passageways.

Here is a DIY Video on changing out the spark plugs on a j series Acura/Honda V6 engine, hope it helps you out. Also look at getting the timing belt done too.
