What size are they? On WDP I would have to go with the black w/chrome lip.

well even bbs lm's arent really vip, there are cars that have pulled them off though, of course... but i think more so just 'cause they're overall beautiful wheels. i dunno about either of those sportmax ones.... not if you're going vip style and influence. its gonna be an expensive road to take if you wanna go that route... saving more here and there paired with finding a dope set of used nice condition wheels might be a better route, at least in the long run.

look at it this way i bought my wheels for 800, and tires were free... just gotta know someone or search used if $ is low, not everyone can afford sick brand new works and im one of them.

just my $0.02.

but if youre set on that, the silvers definitely.

yea i completely understand these arent VIP style wheels at all. what i meant was just the look of it. ive seen a 03m45 with LM's and its the sickest car ive seen period.

but yea i jsut want the look of it. i think ill get something silver since its what most vip cars have. u think those enkei and volks are too sporty?

EW. And no you can't run a +35. Even if you didn't drop it they still wouldn't fit. My +40s barely fit and I rolled the fenders and hacked up my bumper.

wow I guess rolling fenders really help. I had HP Lightning EVO rims, I think 18x8 with 38offset with my s.techs set up and it rubbed like hell

If i had to choose i like the Sportmax ones. But to tell you the truth. id save up enough money and buy the wheel you really want. sometimes if you search on other forums you might be able to find a pretty good deal. I search on weird forums sometimes and there is a person selling the item you want but no one wants them. it actually comes down to being patient and doing the car the way you want it the first time. it saves you a lot of money in the long run. I always wanted staggared Works or Volks. but sometimes a pretty good deal comes along like my Racing Harts. Patience is a virtue!!!.

Too me though to pull off mesh style of wheels it has to be big and deep. if not it looks one size small. The design has to have a small center hub and a broad mesh spoke design to look decent. if not the mesh looks too small on certain cars. Plus mesh style is for sport style. but too each is own. some people can pull it off.

But id say wait to save up for the wheels you really want, that way its much sweeter and you feel satisfied. if not you will be going though 3 sets of wheels like i did and still not satisfied!!! haha.

good luck in the wheel search.

the top wheels look similar to trafficstar STM's but i dont think they are.... something looks a bit different. but if you're diggin those, now you have other options besides just finding LM's.

low price and VIP do not belong in the same sentence. They take pride in purchasing the highest quality parts. Your TL will never be a true VIP car, you can do VIP styling but that means low, wide and as much lip as possible. Being that our cars are FWD, and youre posting pictures of sport max rims, I think you're on the wrong track to "becoming VIP"

I swear VIP is the new JDM. The term just gets tossed around and generalized and its true meaning has become lost

^agreed... on both points. basically LOOOOW car, wide wheels. and yeah the term's gettin' a bit used thesedays.... vsc forums has guys asking about vip styled ANYTHINGS thesedays (cmon vip mr2?!)

keep in mind also there's a difference between vip and exe... , i prefer to lean more towards exe. style actually, one of the reasons being because the TL is fwd. vip is a little more wild, exe a bit more mild.... well thas how i see it basically

The ones on the top on that M45 I think if im not mistaking is made by works.. i think they are the termist Line. i dont think they make them anymore. i believe they are though. if you look at the center cap really well. If not they might be rays. but i think if you are going with mesh wheels that is the way too go. thin mesh spoke but flat face with a large lip and wheel. that way it looks larger.

The LMs are always a favorite but man for the price i think i would go with a japanese made wheel. unless you can find a set of LMs for cheap. but then the fitment might be off since majority of all the LMs you find are off of euro cars. But then again you might find some luck like Pizaul.

I agree to the VIP thing. people are just trying to get into the scene but they dont really do there homework and try to VIP everything they can. i mean its a style but true VIP needs to be on a VIP platform like a Fuga or Celsior. I like the Vip style and thats all we can do to the TL which is to style it but it can never be a true VIP.
