I love my UDM machine!! turns hours and years into minutes of guiding the tool around with ease

You know the application pattern shown produces swirls right?
check out the Off Topic Wash and Wax threads.
I thought my car was looking good till I spent time in that forum, now my car is properly clayed- paint cleaned, polish compounds to remove any scratches- synthetic wax topcoat--- WELL taken care of!!!

Jackass... I was actually contemplating that but just went with the regular shots. I thought it would end up looking weird with the wax on there.

Nice job, if you ever get a UDM, you will wonder why the hell you ever spent so much time waxing a car by hand before. lol I could have saved a lot of wear and tear on my arms. haha

Your paint seems to be in good shape, so any swirls would be able to be removed. I believe the UDM is about $150, with the correct pads and products you are looking at close to $200, but you will have a showroom swirl free finish.

My suggestion is that once you get everything in order with the mechanical aspect/swap of the car then go ahead and save up for the UDM to get that bad boy looking new again.

Just saw this... I used to work at a car wash and did maybe 4-5 hand waxes a day so I got it down pretty good. I did my whole car in maybe 20 mins.

Dayam, your car must look nice in person.... Just don't park it next to some sprinklers.... I hate that, you wash your car.. go somewhere and later come back the sprinklers just messed it all up. Looks good bro.

yes, I would like to see the WHOLE car...

PEACE!

Nice. I need to do mine some time this summer.
Just noticed the row of door dings you have on you back door and the dent in you front door. It sucks when people pay no respect to someone esle's property.

Man, wax and clay does wonders. Brought your paint back to life. I have to do this one day... I don't think I ever fully waxed my car, and never clayed.

That's just the way omst kits come. My front is even higher because the manual trans weighs ~150# less than the auto.

Photomatix Pro 3,.0 for the HDR, then Photoshop 10 CS3 after that. Some are over sharpened but I was trying to bring the reflections out as good as I can. I'm still kind of learning with all this; basically trial and error just teaching myself.

check out the photomatix guide thats provided. usually you only need 1 or the other (pm or ps) and dont resize the photos before you do the merge (although you prob arent)

Its all a learning experience. I've seen your starting work, and see how its gradually improving. I know I'm still learning. People who do serious HDR's use like 3-4 post processing programs to complete the image. I'm about to start using my third (Noise Ninja).
