Updated 3000K HID Yellow Fog Pics..in the snow!!!

Team TL,

I swapped out my Philips 4100K HID fog bulbs and put back in my 3000K bulbs for the remainder of winter. The yellow light really works good with snow, especially here in Colorado..we've been getting slammed with snow this year! The 4100K bulbs will probably go back in this spring or when I get bored with the 3000K bulbs.

Anyway, I thought I would take some pics to show you how effective the HID fogs are. I took multiple angles, especially focusing on the width of the beam. Not sure why the camera didn't capture the yellow colors so well, but it was freezing and I'm sure the battery is low. Plus I didn't use the flash. Trust me, the lights are much more yellow than they look on these pics.

Anyway, here you go. I also have a thread in the DIY section that talks about the brand of HID kit, the install procedures and fog light aiming instructions if you have any questions. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142675

Here are the pics, again, sorry for the not so great pic quality...

The fogs dont even look yellow at all, I can only see the yellow over snow.

BTW I was a second too late on taking your 6000k lowbeams, you had a really nice price.

Normally im not a huge yellow foglight person but I think those look really nice. Also I noticed your parking lights on the rear are the opposite of mine. Your two outside ones come on on my TL its the two inside ones. I like your way better it looks nice.

Yeah man, the fogs from far away look almost like my low beams. But, you can see the "sea of yellow" light when sitting in the car. I think the camera is way overexposed and shows the light as white instead of yellow. I really wish the pics came out better. But, no tripod and cold temps, I did my best..for now.

Sorry about you not getting the 6000K's. I think the price may have been too low!! But, they are sold and installed in member Amgala's car now and he loves. them! He did literally beat you out on dibs by a few minutes!!

Yeah, I did my little taillight conversion last year when I removed the contacts on the inner bulbs so that they would only light up when I brake. The reflection inside the lens actually makes that little triangular corner near on the inner lens light up giving it a cool effect. Some people liked my conversion, others said they wanted to send me some new bulbs because it looks like I am running with burnt out bulbs I like it though, thats all that matters.
