That's a nice ride. I'd like to suggest a combo of OEM lip with WW Side & Rear skirts to complete the aggressive wheels.

How does your custom av system work? Can you give more specs on the setup?
I was in Circuit City today look for something to fit in the tray space.

Where did you get your dash kit?

Hey Asianrage, thanks for the comments.

I customized the whole dash setup myself. I had to do some trimming and moving to fit that screen in, but I got it done. It is a Pioneer AVX-P7300 screen in the front, two 7 inch screens in my headrests, powered by a AVM-P8000R, which controls the dvd player (located under passenger seat) and a Pioneer CD-VS33 video switch, which can allow different people to watch and/or listen to seperate sources at a time.

I bought the dark burlwood dash kit on ebay a few months ago.

no problem.

sorry another question, are you still using the oem shocks or aftermarket? also how do they ride compared to stock? i've read that these are pretty good coilovers except they don't have dampering adjustments. thanks.

Yeah, I am still on stocks. I had GCs on my accord before this and now have had them on my TL for over 2 years. I have never had any problems with them at all. Obviously, there is a sacrifice you have to make in ride quality when putting them on, but the difference isn't very noticable unless driving on really bumpy roads. If you want to have ride adjustments, check out the Teins. They are more expensive, but from what I hear, they are great!

It's true. Roads in my area run the gamut in term of quality, and the Teins make my suspension ride like stock over those areas. I'm sure that if I had went with a regular set of springs, I would have regretted it.

sweetdreams,

I bought the screen online somewhere and got a good deal on it. I forget exactly where, it might have been on Ebay. To fit it, I took the CD tray out, trimmed away a rectangular opening under the a/c controls (as high as I could cut without cutting into the actually electronics area, I did). Then, I took the CD player console out completely. I trimmed about a 1/2 inch off of the top of the next middle console piece (right above the cointray). After doing this, the main CD player piece obviously could not be screwed into the same screw holes, so I had to place it lower and drill my own new screws in. Before I actually put the CD player back in, I attached the screen deck on top of the stock CD unit using a custom bracket thing I made so that it was sturdy and help into place (flush and with enough space for it to open and close cleanly). After the whole unit (CD and screen) were together, I screwed it all into the new screw holes. It fit perfectly and the new screw holes were very stable. The plastic sides and burlwood dash pieces are pretty much just glued to the sides which makes it look like the screen is just placed in there perfectly.

It took a few hours to figure out how to do it and then another few hours to set it all up perfectly. I have had to take it back apart a few times to install cables, blitzsafe, and dash kit. Needless to say, I never want to take it apart again!

But I am happy with how it all turned out.

Thanks, Eric

OK....I got a question for you....

Where did you get the black wood for the doors? I was told unless you have a TypeS, the only way to get the black wood on a TL-P is to get all new door panels!

Looks HOT!!!

Hey...

The blackwood that you see are just part of the dash kit.

good eyes johnny!

Yeah, when I changed out the dash with the blackwood kit and blackwood side panels, I definitely wanted to get rid of the brown wood panels on the side doors. As you already said, to do that you have to purchase the whole door panels which are a few hundred EACH. So, instead, I painted over them with Nighthawk Black and now there is nothing but black in my car (to do this, you have to take the panels off, take all the leather and armrests and stuff off, tape it off, and spray paint carefully). I am so glad I did it because it makes such an incredible difference.

Thanks for noticing. I will post a better picture of how it looks here.

Also, the side console blackwood pieces, I just bought from Acura. Actually, my friend worked for Infiniti, went to Acura and said they were working on a TL that needed new blackwood pieces, Acura hooked him up with a dealer discount, and I got them for about half price. It was expensive for two pieces of plastic, in my opinion, but it was the only way I was going to switched to blackwood!

http://www.paintscratch.com/

Ive used it on my mudgaurds, front grille, and the side wood panels. You can order it in spray cans, bottled paint, etc. I have ordered two different times through them and they seem to really match the paint well!
