whoa that last pic is like a TL with less options! no moonroof and see those empty aux spots next to the foglight switch? wierd.

isnt it ironic how some people over here do the inspire conversion and over there they do the TL conversion?

I concur. People are just trying to stand out among others. For me, I would NEVER put a honda sign on my car because it is and ACURA! (supposely the luxury division from hondas. I just tag my car INSPIRE because I didn't like the name "TL for Total Luxury"...

Cool

yes i see. im not hatin on anyone that does the full inspire conversion, i say more power to anyone that cares about their TL no matter what they do as long as they take care of it, ya know? personally, i enjoy the fact that my car is made by honda and is an Acura. i have to say i'm very proud of my car. i my car.

btw, i do believe TL officially stands for "Touring Luxury"

...but to me it stands for "True Love"

Well here in the US lots of kids try to go for the JDM look, where as in Japan, they go for the USDM look. It's b/c we're used to the USDM, so we want the JDM, where as in Japan, they're used to the JDM look so they want the USDM. If you lived in Japan your whole live, you'd want USDM too. It's all about change

Hong Kong has alot of nice modded cars. Usually people who can afford to own a car will usually mod it. (parts are relatively cheap compared to the car and maintenance ex: monthly parking, gasoline)

One thing about HK I enjoy alot is just sitting by my apartment window to watch and listen to cars driving by (lotz of blow-off valves going off )

These seats look exactly the same as in my 2001 Accord, same color too. Too bad quartz wasn't offered on TL's in US. Didn't know the Inspire had them.

I like the side markers.
Anyone know a good place to get side markers that look OEM like those for a 2003 TLS?

1999 Honda Inspire

________________________________________
Hello, I just bought a used JDM 1999 Honda Inspire. I really don't care that much about what 3.2V on the trunk means but it looks almost exactly like an Acura TL. The VIN plate in the engine compartment says "Made in USA" and there are "Honda of America" badges on each C pillar and on the ignition key.
My questions are:
1. Does anyone have a link to an English language version of the owners manual?
2. If not, does anyone know how to set the clock (I've tried every different button permutation and cannot change the hour although the minutes are exactly correct.)
3. Anyone have info on what I could buy to replace the broken Gathers 10 disc CD changer?
4. Any info on which DVD-ROM version would work? I doubt if the Cayman Islands are digitized but I just want to get the Japanese "no disc" message off the screen.

BTW the TV works fine - too bad we cannot have this feature in the USA. Picture goes off when the car starts moving, comes back on when you stop. Audio stays on all the time. Great for watching the evening news in stop & go rush hour (yes, we DO have a rush hour in the Caymans)

PS my car has all options including DVD Nav but NO moonroof. I agree with the person who said that if yours has a moonroof, its not JDM
