Pics of my 02 Type S.

Finally snapped some pics of my UA5. I am no photographer, but shooting this car resparked my interest. C and C welcome. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, wrapped with 3m scottsbrite carbon vinyl. good stuff, I don't know how it compares to Di-Noc. I believe the di-noc is more dull.

I am a huge mud flap whore... I'd rather have flaps than the factory lip. They are about an inch of the ground. Thanks for the props. I am on Ksport Pro, purchased from MistaJuice here. The rears are all the way down, and the fronts probably have another 1.5 or so to go. I'm content with how it sits.

nice ride bro! ever think about clearing the headlights out? i think it would flow better with the wdp but your ride is sick. i love the debadge and the drop looks real good. im just gonna say it anyways but i think a kit would look even better. but then again your so low i doubt it'd even fit on there without raising those coils haha.

Thanks for all the props! I didn't expect this at all! I think I might be blushing!

Thanks man! Almost every pic is an HDR. They are 5 exposures combined into one if you aren't familiar. Good stuff!

I did that on purpose... they are both mine... i quickly jumped in and drove it over there.

Great pics
I could probably get it down a little bit more by removing the rear perches for spring... maybe 1/2 to 3/4 more?

I've thought about it, but they are rubber, they drag a bit over big bumps so that would probably just crack the paint...

Thank you! I orginally wanted to clear the headlights, but I'm not sure now. I kinda like the orange. I thought about doing vled switchbacks, that would be cool. I'm not sure how i feel about the reflectorless look. And I don't know if I can trust the ebay/depo brand as far as quality that would have the clear reflector. I love the kit too! But I wanted to keep it as is. The only plans I have is possibly home depot lip if it can be executed correctly, and roof spoiler.

haha it didnt really have an HDR look to it.. maybe some people just overdo it but your pics look natural with a bit of editing. you should definitely post more photoshoots up in this section because it's pretty dull here most of the time.

Speaker covers and door panels look very nice with the black and having the center console in CF looks great together. I too have the tan interior and am really liking what you did. What did you use for speaker covers and door panels? Where did you purchase it from?

Reverse Camera hanging out the back by the plate?

Oh yeah, I know what you are saying there, where they look completely fake or over done. I like those styles but I am not sure how to make it look like that. Might have to read up on that a bit... Ill try and post more pics... I just dont want you guys to get tired of seeing my whip.

What do you mean and door panels? The carbon? The carbon is 3M Scottsbrite. I had a customer bring me some to wrap a custom double din dash bezel we built for him. (I sell car audio for a living atm) And that is what triggered me to cover them. I didn't like them as wood grain from the get go. My install manager did the front four pieces, and I did the rear. It wasn't too hard, a heat gun helps as well to stretch it to fit. As for the speaker grill covers, I felt I needed something to offset the black a bit so I covered it with what we call grill cloth. It took some time but I got them all done and I am happy with the outcome. If you need some I could get you enough to do yours. I just hot glued them over my stock grills. Nice catch on the backup cam, fun unit for sure. I have it rigged so I can turn it on while driving and it comes on in reverse of course.

Great to see you put the shots up man. I told you if you have a nice ride you'll receive plenty of great compliments. Nice shots and your ride is very clean overall
I noticed the speaker covers back when you showed me those interior shots and thought that they flowed well with the CF wrap trim.

Nice touch with the led door handles. I'm assuming you have them rigged to light up when you want? Or are they tied to the dome light for when you open the doors?

You know I should really do the foglight mod to use my led fogs as drls (my real drls aren't working - relay issue) but I can't find a place in Edmonton with that diode and add a circuit you need. Maybe I need to look harder.

Okay I can understand the appeal of having mud flaps to some and that's fine. But anyone that thinks mud flaps > lip kit are just hurtin' to have a kit of their own. Trust me, it is the single biggest look changer on our cars. I fell in love all over again.

Thanks bro, you were part of my inspiration so I detailed her and took some nice shots.

I love the LED handles, didn't think I would care much, or thought I might never use them. I got the idea here but to be honest I LOVE them. They are rigged to always come on when the car is in park, or on/off whenever I want. I have never seen that mod before, even on newer cars and I'm super happy. They worked out ten times better than I imagined.

DRL? do we have them? I don't that's why I ask. I just have them rigged to turn on and off with my park lights. That's it. I don't understand what Diode or switch you need if any.

I wouldn't say instead of. I like both looks. This look works for me as of now.

Agreed. If my car would have come with the kit, I'd be happy that way too. I just have a fetish for flaps. LOL

Same, but my front tires are pretty worn, how new are your tires? My car also hasn't been alligned yet... Have you thrown your car up on a jack to see where it's rubbing at?

. i don't understand how you can be rubbing with the stock profile size. i ran 215/50/17 all around and the rears cleared easily. the more you drop it, the more camber you get = more clearance.

Agreed... Im not understanding either. I too am on TypeS wheels and unless you have camber kits in rear to eliminate camber, I dont see how you would be rubbing? Even Then I dont know if you would be rubbing.

As stated earlier too... have you pulled wheel off to see WHERE you are rubbing?
