Pics: Comptech Springs installed!

Here are a few quick pics I took after getting the comptech springs installed today.

Someone, I forgot who, asked for a pic of the space between the spokes and the calipers. It's hard to tell from the pic, but to me it looks like the 6MT Brembos would fit.

Nice....

Automata..

Car looks great... How do you like the ride with the Comptech springs? Is it still comfortable? How much did they tell you the drop was? How much did you pay for the kit? Install?

What size are you rims?

I am thinking about getting springs too...leaning towards Eibach..I heard they were the best. ?

Your paint looks awesome, that Zaino stuff just might be better than NXT.

Very nice ride! Any idea how much those rims weigh? Kinda look like BBS RGR and RS-GT.

jd´GT¬uys. Let me answer some of your questions.

letmeride: The Comptech springs lower the car 1". I should have measured the ride hight before the install to be sure how much lower the car is now but 1" seems about right. The ride is still very comfortable. It is surprising how close to stock the ride feels considering the 35 series rubber and stiffer springs. I paid $450 for springs and install. The wheels are 19x8 +42mm, check my sig. I had always used Eibach's, 4 cars, I don't think you can go wrong with either springs.

rmarzan12: I didn't consider the work vs-xx. I've always prefered the 16 spoke mesh design over 20 spoke. Just personal preference. Those work wheels are very nice, maybe I sould have cinsidered them.

TLJohn: No Zaino. That's 2 coats of NXT done 3 weekends's ago.

blufox: I would think the stiffer springs would help skidpad numbers but I've not seen any tests done with these springs on a TL, or any aftermarket springs for that matter.

dlai531: I don't know how much the wheels alone weigh, but the wheels and tires weigh 50lbs. The stock 17's and tires weigh 48. I've always been a fan of mesh wheels. I had 18" BBS RC's on my Audi's. I would have liked to get BBS RSGT's but I couldn't find them in the right offset and they would have been way more expesive.

Every day I drive the TL, I miss the 2.7T a little less.

Loose the rear muds

Loose the rear muds and you will have hands down one of the best looking 04 TL's on the road to date.

It looks like the front can use another 1/2inch lowering. The car looks kinda silly with the rear lowered more than the front!!! I would shave off one coil for the front.
