As the title states, does anyone have a picture of a 99-01 tl with only the OEM front lip? I remember seeing one here before but couldn't find the picture. I just ordered the front lip off of ebay and plan on getting the other 3 pieces within the next couple months (I hope), but am not sure if I should put it on or just wait til I have all of the pieces. Thanks.

i think u should wait. it looks weird with just the front on. plus u dont want to risk messing it up before you get a chance to get the rest on

It's still WDP, but as my car was 5 years old when I put the front lip on, there appears to be a slight color difference between the lip and the lower grille area. It's not really noticeable unless you're really looking hard. I would have really liked to have the full OEM kit, but it would be a major expense to paint it after buying the kit, that is, if I was able to find one. Plus, the mudguards left a small paint gouge in their place (not down to metal), so I would really have to paint the entire car to make everything match exactly. Unfortunately, a mortgage, school loans, and alimony all have to take precedence. One day, I would like to complete the car with a full kit (even if aftermarket), and new wheels, but as the car has 85K on it, and it's my daily driver, right now putting a whole lot of $$$ into it doesn't make sense. I have done some interior mods, such as a nice wood kit, and I'm awaiting my chromed 5 speed shifter plate from Chrome Tech USA. I'll post pics when I get it installed.
I know just the front lip doesn't work for everyone, but like I said, I like the car the way it is. It works for me.

well sorry to hear that. and it sucks, seems like i'm in the same position i have those stupid mud guards and i'm scared to take them off. my paint job also just sucks but i want a kit ... especially after just having totalled a 00 frp with a kit on it and i have no money now. so i feel ya... maybe one day!

lol...thanks for the pics also. I bought a front lip off of ebay about couple months ago, and wondered what it would look like with just the front lip also. Didn't really like it much so i'm buying the whole kit before i put it on....well the sides skirts. I'll hold out on the rear lip for a month or two before i get it. It's rediculously priced compare to the side skirts

i am about to do the same thing on my SSM.. but i am also dropped on Tein so.. But yours looks fresh to death!

I am about to get the front lip for my 02 TLS, i saw a guy posting a 99-01 Kit doesnt say for
Type S or not, Would it still fit on my car? again would at 99-01 Front OEM lip fit on a 02 TLS?

The front lip for the 99-01 TL will not fit the 02-03 design. The posting didn't say type S or not because the type S wasn't available until 2002.

There is no difference in kits for the type-s or premium. But the 99-01 front wont fit the 02-03 as the front bumpers are different. The sides and rear however are the same
