Tein SS make me laugh...

Although they are smooth and great for a daily driver, wouldn't ever attempt to track hard with them.

tein does have track setup coilovers. however none of them fit on our cars. the only coilovers that tein makes that do fit on our cars are not exactly track worthy. thats why people are sayin theyr no bueno for the track.

To add to my last comment, TEIN does make a few select coilovers id like, but have no applications available to the public.

Wow this went from an F&F picture request thread to a hate on TEIN thread. (what did i expect, this place is 90% haters.. )

I'm not praising Tein but heres a pic of my car on Tein Basic. This was the first of many suspension setups on my car. Not F&F but an idea of how slam looks on Type S wheels.

That looks pretty good on basics only!!! I had Teins SS on my 99 and I loved the hell out of those coilovers. They went low enough to tuck and was still riding like stock!!! It wasn't the stiffest but it got stiff if I really wanted it to...

Where are FFType 2 made vs Teins now?? Anyone?? Not trying to thread jack but this thread is all over the place...

^^ LMAO!!!

MIKEs ONE of the main reason why I support teins, after he did his custom Tein suspension it looked sick, he didnt complain about the ride and I was sold

But when u got people on here sayin Teins arent good for track thats just insane

i have tein ss-p , iam looking for f&f coilovers , since my rear ss-p are blown after two years , may be its the harsh climate in canada that cause them to go , apprently the f&f type 1's can sustain temps up to -40 c , i been looking online (ebay) i can only find them for 98 - 02 accords , now would these fit ?

had a set of their add-on coilovers for the stock shocks on my old 94 accord, the intial quality did not impress me, the paint on the springs was already chipping off of them striaght out of the box/new, but hey they were only like $100, so what do you kinda expect

also that was like 3-4 years ago, so maybe they are better now, IDK

Tein basic and SS are NOT good for track. They are too soft.

Tein does make others, like Flex, that ARE good for tracking, but they dont fit the 2g TL.

I went from Tein SS to K-Sport and I am VERY happy.

man i had 4 guys in the car today 2 infront nd 2 in the back it was rubbing on every turn.

well thts cause my rear fenders wont roll all the way. the guy at the shop said i have metal studs/ plate in the rear fenders so they dont roll.

does tht mean the best is to cut them, how did u guys roll the fenders? i have a 01 tl

ima tread jack cause this is already gone all over the place from original post

^ i dont have to roll my fenders/cut tabs/remove fender liner. i did nothing. all i did was slam the car and drive haha. for me, i can go as low as i want in the rear (not literally, but enough to at least tuck almost rim).

the front is what's stopping me. i rub like mad crazy when turning mainly cause i still have my fender liner on. i'm planning on removing that so i can go a bit lower on the front and rears. no need to roll fenders if you're on stockies, imo.

damn ur lucky haha, i cut them a bit so my wheels will fit properly but i gotta do it more now since i still rub when my car is packed.

every now and then my car is packed, and i dont want to raise it jus cause of my friends. plus if it cut them i could go lower!!
