Old Power Steering Fluid Color?
I just changed the power steering fluid in my Marilyn, the first time I've done so for any car. (She's a TL-P.) I don't know, maybe I'm being a n00b and rushing overeagerly into maintenance that's neither due nor needed, so I snapped a pic of the old PS fluid. What do y'all think?
Old power steering fluid volume, lock to lock.
Old? THIS power steering fluid!? Bah, humbug!
I kid; clearly, it's fucking terrible. (Geddit? "Clearly"...?) :-) -- Merry Happy Holiday Festival Activities (or lack thereof)!

Nothing but Honda Genuine for me! I'm guessing that this fluid's never been changed, since it looked like motor oil. The new fluid became halfway dark after circulating lock to lock, so another changing is in my future.

I've been using this method for a number of years using a fluid extractor (same principle). The Acura fluid is priced reasonably and by not disconnecting the hose from the reservoir you don't create a mess and avoid air entering the system. Our TL has over 130,000 miles and no p/s problems.
