New to me... 2003 AM TL-S w/Navi

all i gotta say is, i love it. its everything my other car isnt.

here are some pics along a couple different stages.

when purchased, it looked like so...

after i installed an eibach prokit and oem kit.

and now with the re-aimed yellow fogs

i dont plan on doing anything else to this car. ive seen alot of your guys cars, and they look sick with a set of wheels, but i want to keep this car stock. i dont wanna start ricing it out. for that i still have my other car...

you are correct sir, that would be i. do you have a lude still or did you upgrade to the tl? and sure we should do a shoot. know any other tl'ers in the area?

i only have one complaint though. the tl is great off the line, but it kinda lags on the freeway compared to my accord... guess its just the car gods telling me i should just cruise with it.

and the fogs are just different bulbs.
got them off ebay.

i have an 03 tls in AM also, and my leather seats are perforated on the seat bottoms and the back. the only area that is smooth is the sides and the edges. my floor mats are the same as yours i believe tho.

i had a 4th gen accord to. no power mods but full suspension work. fun car. and i agree it doesnt feel like it takes off at highway speeds like the accord did. its probably cuz of the wieght of the car. u have to watch the speedo to beleive it, its a lot smoother then an old accord so it doesnt get that raw feedback that your used to. pass someone on the highway after being behind them at the same speed and youll realize that its fast enough.

its a 93 jdm h22... i had the valvecover lettering shaved off. i dont want it to be easily recognizable by the cops. to an untrained eye, its just a motor.

the kit was about $1200 painted from acura. i coulda got it cheaper if i looked around online, but i was being very impatient, and it got to me quickly. 2 days and it was in my hands.

Wow...$22K is a lot of money, should of kept looking around. I got mine for $12K no navi. I have to admit though, it does look really nice. I also went from a slammed 4th gen Accord to a TL. Huge difference. Good choice!!

i dunno, i paid 23.5 for mine last aug. 03 tls mint, 27k miles, certified and acura care warranty. that was decently below the book at the time. and mine is anthracite too. $12k? what was the mileage on it? clean title?

Mine has 54k miles right now. I got the car from a cousin that has a dealer. But before getting my car I did some searching and found a couple of cars in the 15k and 17k range.

lucky you . i saw some in that 15-17k range to in the tristate, but no clean titles and/or can see repair work on the car. i dont think i saw one ssm one that didnt have repaint somewhere on it which was a strange observation. plus i really wanted AM so i was kinda limited since in type s it was only made one year . after seeing all the repaired ones out on those used car lots, i gave up and went with certified. im glad i did, my vin was out of the tranny range, but now its covered. im bankin on my peace of mind till 100k miles for power train and accesories with acura care/certified.

Yeah I know what you mean. It's difficult these days to find a car with a clean title for good money. When I got the car, and joined a couple forums, I read a lot about tranny problems. At that point I was skeptical and decided to register in the Acura Owner Link. I had some relief when it showed my car received the tranny fix in 2004 and still has the 7 yr warranty on it.

exactly. i saw alot of tl's i could have gotten for less, but i was being very picky. the car i wnted was exactly what i got. navi/AM/black leather... all a must. and by dumb luck, it just happened to be the only tl in the bay area with the stock chromes... from what i saw on autotrader/car.com/etc.

and i was also paying for the acura dealership name... i wanted it certified. and i as well opted for the acura care warranty. fully covered till 10k

All in all the car looks amazing. When I check through all the car websites, didn't find one with chrome rims. I figured that was something, someone had done on the side.

How does one crome the wheels? I beleive I have the same wheels but wish to chrome them too? Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks.
