new HDR front lip for 2g tl

home depot racing..lol..check it out..lot of subie guys around here do this so i said what the heck..only like 7 bucks

I just saw some one in the 3g side do this and it looked alot better. He had a lip kit so maybe thats missing.

doesnt flow. a lot of civic guys do this as well...because they want cheap so called mods..

garge door molding..goes on the bottom of the door..comes in a 9' roll at home cheapo for like 8 bucks

there is a DIY for pillars I believe...I tried to get rockstar21 to do a DIY for the chrome trim- but nope..

Perhaps jp75 will hook us up? I really would love to paint my trim..

guys all i did for the trim was tape the trim off..i have a tape machine that applies the tape on a roll of brown paper to mask off everything..then i sanded the trim down real good with 320..till it was dull..then cleaned with automotive prep cleaner...primered with black primer..then used dupilcolor trim paint..came out minty

everyone is doing the chrome trim now I did mine a while ago..

I took it off the car well the bottom pieces. the top pieces i just masked everything off

yeah..i sprayed them when i did the pillars with the trim paint from dupliclor..wiped em down with prep cleaner and srpayed em...big problems tho man...after i sprayed them they didnt really look like a even finish so..the next day i wet sanded them down with 320 sprayed them again..and all the paint cracked...looks like shit now,,gonna have to wrap them with vinyl,,think thats the best bet...they sell some nice carbon fiber pillars on ebay tho for 70 bucks..thinking bout them too

the same exact thing happened to me when I sprayed mine..lol.

I bought the vinyl overlays from ebay-word of caution theyre super thin (like a sticker) and show everything under them, so you have to get the pillars completely smooth before applying them.

If I had to do it over again I would have bought the thicker ones from that one website.. HERE

BOOOO lol

not really worth doing a DIY over..

tape off.. sand.. paint..

no special way to go about it

took me about 2 hours to complete the whole job.
