I bought this ride new in 2001 and this is how I drove it home from the dealership, minus the 18" triple Gold Zeniths and two Alpine V12s Pushing two Kicker 12" Solo L7's and the tinted windows.

I am finally ready to start modin, but not sure where I am going to start...

Hey you wanted opinions...

I'm sorry, the gold emblems, trim, and pipes have to go ASAP! That looks terrible!

I'm assuming that you meant that those wheels in the picture are not on there now. Right? That is already a step in the right direction. I don't knock anyone about what they do to their cars, but you asked. After all it's your car. Who cares what we think?

Personally you need to drop the car a bit. What kind of wheels do you have now?

First you need to get rid of the gold...then let the mods begin!

Trade in your rims for simpler, clean ones.. it'll be more uniform with your car and look correct... the rims you have right now look like they came from an oldsmobile... no offense, but you can get your money's worth for stylish, better looking rims. I recommend www.thetirerack.com or www.wheelmax.com .. they both have awesome wheel/tire packages... the tirerack have their installers (i've gone through them) install your tires for barely anything and wheelmax offers free shipping and free taxation in some special offers.

Unhappy

I guess I am getting really old!!

In San Jose, CA this ride is the bomb... not to mention I don't go low and slow! You will see that gold smile and feel the bass as I pass you at 150MPH+ on my 150 spoke ZENITHS.

BTW...My other ride is a 2004 Suzuki GSXR1000 that I have taken to over 175MPH, so don't let the gold and the spokes fool you, I feel the need for speed!

So it is obvious that my taste is not the latest style, but that isn't what type of mods I am looking for. I am happy with the look (although I upgraded to 4X Gold Zeniths) I want more speed, better shifting and handling and am looking for advice on what gives the best bang for the buck.

To all that responded, thanks for the comments.

Dude...you're not old (see my age) As far as low and slow...I wouldn't say I was slow. My car is in the process of being dropped a bit, but in now way is it going to be slamed. It will be lowered just enough for smaller wheelgap and better handling.

If you want some speed then you can get headers, cold air intake, UR pulley, exhaust, and a few other things for speed. I have all of the mentioned and I love it. If you have the $$$ get a Comptech supercharger ($4K+)

Anyway, this forum is a great place to get ideas for both looks and performance. Do a search and you will find tons of threads talking about performance mods.

Good luck and welcome aboard! I stick to my original post...lose the gold!

Remember you are not old!

Well thats 1 direction.... i guess.....
lol I remember when spokes were the shit; but that's back when 16's were "gimungous"
Anyways, u mod ur car your way and I'll mod mine my way and we'll meet on the freeway and have a good time (280 preferably but 101 will do)

I get what you're saying.. I'm the same way when it comes to people criticizing my mods in my "Ongoing Mods" thread... Hopefully I didn't offend you, I just meant to say that your rims are kind of heavy, you can find the same quality, similar looking rims but are lighter to make it easier on your car when it comes to performance. Other than that, if you like the way it looks, don't even bother listening to me. lol Question though... those wheels are big, so I was wondering, how's the ride quality on the roads in Cali?

OMG... Those rim... I'm starting to feel dizzy. You should seriously consider some other wheels, perhaps the stock ones.
