Hmm...

Now the question is, how will the tranny hold up underneath the pressure of 10lbs of boost and spray?

I agree with TLSu, the CL-S 6 speed tranny will probably be a good investment.

.. if I'm not mistaken, DIRTYJOHN has rebuilt his tranny and it seems to be holding up just fine from the vids I have seen.. especially the one where he sprays in 1st.

I would suggest swapping turbos now. Your turbo appears(could be wrong) to be a t3/t4 which is really a little more for a 3.2 v6. You can get by using the emanage blue also opposed to the ultimate and some some money. You could also pick up some used s2k injectors which are 370cc instead of picking up 550cc injectors depending on what you are looking for. Your fmic should be fine. A bigger fmic doesn't make it better. The better the , the better the FMC. Good luck.

blk2001tlon19s- That is definately an ebay turbo. The sizing and trim of the T3/T4 would be the big factors. The "T3/T4" in general is pretty broad. I use a T4/T4 on pretty much everything, just in several differet trims and A/Rs. I too would like to know the trim and A/R on the turbo.

Are you referring to a map checkvalve? You shouldn't need one when using the E-manage.

look up!! i say i just dropped it down to 5lb of boost because my emanagement isnt working right now :/ so i have to pull out my safc (not vafc).. sigh.. But will have it back in a week and i swear that 10 lb is coming.. If anybody wants a ride in the TL feel free to come by I should suggest all second gen TL owners get TURBO. If u want one PM me and i will build the piping for u. O if u order the kit on EBAY trust me its worth it for its money just bid on it and u will pay a total of 425 and will get to u in three days.. If u get it PM me and i will help u get your turbo ON.

All the check valve does is bleed boost before the map sensor picks up on it. Whether its 10psi or 2psi, the sensor will react the same to it. You should still come to the same problem as soon as it crosses over from vac. to boost.
Are you able to make the car run in boost without a CEL right now?

with the check valve. it raise the map sensor by 1 inch and only send the map a 1lb max thats why it works.. BUT dont be foo.. IF anybody running turbo make sure u have some kind of emanagement or else your motor will detonate..

Actually that's not true. A check valve just doesn't let the map pickup on boost...whether it's 1" or 3" it would serve the same purpose.

I see you are running a FMU and checkvalve, which is basically old school fuel management...drag still uses it to this day...but it needs stock injectors to even run 1/2 way correct with the FMU.

(I'm sure all my post make it look I'm being a dick, but I'm not. I'm just pointing out things that are obvious to me but may come across as misleading or incorrect to others that don't deal with FI setups on a regular basis)
