Karanx, here's my sage advice.

don't waste 10k on repairing your tl. spend 3k on a tl with a blown tranny.

if you're going to be 6 speed swapping anyways, might as well right?

I mean you must admit what you are saying is quite laughable...25k into a car that barely cost much more than that new, it's not only ridiculous and impractical but its just plain stupid.

if you are interested in modding your tl great! But it seems like every 4/5 months or so a troll enters the 2G forums and starts rifling off what they're going to do, what they've done etc. and never even post a pic of their stock tl.

to be completely honest, when KobeAllDay started posting, I thought he was going to be one, with all of his ridiculous posts, but now that we know he's just a curious new driver, it's all good.

so keep it real. and don't talk out your ass ok?

Talk out my ass? Don't start with me man, I'm not interested.

Thanks for your advice. I've already stated that I'll spend whats necessary, whether its 5k or 25k. I don't really care.

Am I talking out my ass because you think I'm just a troll? Sorry if I offended you someway, but I haven't lied or even exaggerated at all. I would love if you would give me an example of myself "talking out my ass," so I could be more aware of it for any future posts.

well to the rest of us, it definitely sounds like youre talking out your ass.

we dont know you. you have no rep on azine, maybe not anywhere on the internet. if you do, post a link or something. here you come, saying things like you have 25grand to drop on your TL. you dont think its normal for everyone to think youre bullshitting us?

like V_langs said, there are A LOT of people that come on this site and talk a lot of shit, but have nothing to show for it.

prove us wrong and make a progress thread and SHOW US. dont just talk out your ass in someone else's thread.

also, just curious, if you do have such a large budget, why not start with a Type S? or a 3G TL for that matter?

Sorry, I didn't realize that my "talking out my ass" was referring to my willingness to drop 25k. If I were to prove my financial situation, I would only further the amount of douche I look (not something I want to do).

I'm definitely obligated to create a thread for my progress when the time comes, as I have learned everything I know about my car from this forum.

I understand and agree with your reasoning for the doubt, and sorry if I seemed to be trolling. I'm not, as you will see.

Edit: I wish I had a Type-S, but this is my first car and I got it from my dad.

it happens too much here.

Karanx, It's not you particularly, its just that we've seen people come here make a claim and never show for it.

like I said, prove me wrong and I'll b very happy. we could use some new TLs in the community.

but I still stand strong on my advice for buying a blown TL, no point in putting all that money into something that already has 10k in damage. especially if you're going to 6-speed swap it anyways

soooo lol... dang kobe i didn't think your exhaust would be black like that. the tips look great!!!! but i see where your coming from with the mufflers... like jjasha said you can take them off and polish them back to normal but this will take some effort, but the end result is worth it. it would be cheaper than buying new mufflers or a whole new exhaust. car looks like it's in decent shape! how many miles are you looking at on the dash?

^haha naw not chrome. they're aluminum. but polished up, they can be brought to a highly reflective finish looking like chrome kinda. but you have to sand them dwn, using like 100-120, then 220, then 400, then 600, then 800, then 1000, than 1500, than 2000. than get a one of those cloth wheels and some polish compound and have at it until its nice n shiny! but the tsudo's would definetly be an easier way to solve the problem.

- Body kit (WW or OEM less then $700 an $500-800 paint less then $1500 should be good total)
- Spoiler (any kind painted an installed less $500 unless your going for JDM)
- Suspension work (still need to do my HW) (less $1K)
- Audio setup ($2-3K should be good)
- Exhaust less $1K
- Interior Trim ????
Added to your list:

Rim an Tires $3K or less
Window Tint $200

I think you can pour 25K in TL, but it's going take some time an effort to get this done an not over night think.
Now if you can spend $25K in heart beat then why do it on TL. That's what everyone asking

I know i have spend almost $20K on my TL alone an that not in one day, but 7 years in the works.... an I'm still not done

Thanks man! I think ima stay stock until i get a job, which i hope is this summer...the bm is so tempting...
And what should i do about little scratches showing the black part of the fender and bumper? My dad said i could buy little bottles of paint from the dealership. how will this look if i would put in on small scratches without spraying it, and using a small fingernail brush?

paint isn't going to cover them that well. they will still be noticeable. not as noticeable. but if you know what to look for or just happen to look in the right spot you will see them. both my front and back bumpers look like crapp with scratches, cracks, etc etc and i plan on just buying new ones in the spring. but then you have to consider, do you want to own a garage queen? or a daily driver? I want my car to be PERFECT but in the end we have to realize that unless our cars aren't going to see the streets, that isn't going to happen.
