So im taking my car out of state for school so i figured tickets wouldnt be a problem and said what the hell and tinted the front windows and windshield.

i have 0% photography skill, and i just basically pointed and shot... so im hoping nobody expects a work of art ... just wanted to show off my new tint and front plate removal... better shots will hopefully be coming once i learn how to take pics

thanks for all the comments... yeah a drop is the next thing im doing... hopefully by christmas.

haha posting this i knew id be flamed for the lack of drop ... im thinking of clearing/blacking out the headlights, and blacking out the red part of the taillights with rockblocker too. any opinions on that?

so i "fixed" my grille tech... except i couldnt find gray zip ties anywhere so now i have clear zipties that are fairly noticeable which take away from the look of it... anybody know where i can order the gray zip ties that come with the grille techs?

i have cleared out headlights now.. thinkin' of goin black soon tho.. and go with TEIN SS coilovers, you'll love the ride.. can pick up some used ones for about 600$ now.. or if you wanna drop on a budget see mr. heeltoe for some skunk2 coilovers for like 300$ brand new

I have a few friends who are dropped on H&R Sports (the ones I am talking about are not coilovers, not sure if H&R has them anyway). That drops the car nice and even. Look in my sig for my suspension upgrade. The only thing I do not like about mine is the fact that I still have more wheel gap in the front than the back. Now if you have money, go with air ride. Coilovers give you the same look as air, but stiffer ride. If you want to see some TL's with air ride, check out these links, especially the second one:

hey to everyone who's posted the past few days didnt think my thread was still being bumped up haha...

doc: appreciate the links... air ride is out of the question though i currently havent been working for a few weeks since im settling in here in north carolina and will probably be taking a few trips back home now and then so ill probably be living off my savings account until winter break :-/ ... im thinking a little christmas present for myself and doing coilovers... oh and btw your wheels have began to grow on me props for originality

jaker: im not looking forward to taking my car back to jersey i am going to get assaulted with tickets lol... if i decide to come back home for good anytime soon the tint will have to come off i cant afford to be pulled over and having my car searched for drugs (yeah its happened) everytime i drive. lol. NC is really cool about it though i dont know if the out of state plates help or not but nonetheless i dont get bothered.

to everyone else: thanks for the positive comments the drop is coming hopefully when i go home for winter. until then i have to conserve my $$ and ill be keeping the TL clean hopefully i can put up some better pictures real soon for you guys.

Nice ride. I love ABP. i wanted that color so bad but couldnt find one. I have 30% all around 15 on back and 30 on the windsheild. No problems with cops yet. Got pulled over but no ticket or hassles. He sat in my car to see how much difference it made and then told me to be careful.

how is it at night with 30% windshield tint?? i was going to go 35% but i figured id play it safe and go 50 because im not trying to hit something because of visibility lost.

thanks for the compliment... ABP or NBP were the only 2 colors i was considering, and black interior was manatory. i happened to find an abp off of acurazine with navi about an hour from my house so i was extremely lucky. unfortunately my first choice was a cl (hence the username) but i learned to drive on my father's 03 TL-P when i was 16 so i did love them too, but couldnt afford to buy it from him at the time so i saved up and got this when the time was right.

I have no problems at night but i also have 15/20 vision in both eyes.lol. Its not bad though. my girl drives it alot at night and never complains about it

Front Tint looks so good! I wish I could tint my front windshield. Cops here in Toronto would be all over my ass if I tired that one. Tint shop would probley laugh at me.. lol

a drop is my next mod its a must for me... the only downside is my driveway is a huge incline but ill manage... after that im probably going to just keep it clean and not mod anymore, and just drive it until my money's saved for a used M45 or Z as a gift to myself when i graduate school and get a job in a few years.
