Meg's Blue Beaut all polished up!
Hey guys, I like to do my yearly detail and share with you all the results of my labor. Up for this year we have a carbon fiber grille surround and rear spacers.
Big shout out to my buddy Kevin Stachniak for the great shots. Enjoy
Note: Debadge is impossible due to age of adhesive (unable to remove) and headlights may be blacked out soon.

That's for all the comments guys, always brings a smile to my face to know my efforts are more than appreciated. Always do my best to represent the brand, the model and this community at its best.
Silver: I tried every thing you could. The 10 years of harsh winters and other unfortunate weather have made the adhesive bond to the clearcoat. I tried picking off a bit and it was literally taking the paint off. It's so unfortunate. I wanted to remove the ACURA and 3.2...I'd have to get a new trunk.
All you stance guys may be thrilled to hear I'm thinking of getting my fenders rolled, throwing on some 15mm spacers from a buddy parting out his TL and running 7.5 wide with a 37+ offset. As much as I want to stop spending money on her, I would love to see my wheels flushed out perfectly.

dude looks amazing.
our 2Gs look so nice done up all proper.
I wash mine everyday as a salute to it's beauty =)
as for money on the ride, yeah it's a hard pill to swallow. but think of how much your car means to you, it only grows with age
why else do we buy 1000$ lip kits and 2k$ rims and suspensions and exhausts for a 7-12 year old people mover? cuz we're insane, and we love every minute of it =)

Haha thanks Langs. They really do look phenomenal all done up nice and can roll with the best of them.
I understand how much you love your baby, but she doesn't need a bath more than twice a week. Hell once a week will be plenty.
Trust me, this is coming from a guy who is mad OCD about his paint. It's best not to wash too often.
I would love to keep spending money on my car but I'm leaving the country at the end of September, my baby will go into storage and may have to be sold in the spring
I think I'll spoil her just a little more. Someone is going to score big when I'm done with her (if I can't keep her).
Yeah I remember when I spent 4 grand all at the same time for my summer wheels/tires, my suspension and a portion of my detailing supplies. For some reason I can't justify expensive clothing, but 2-300 bucks here and there for my car seems like nothing.
Cheers to another insane fanatic

Thanks xtremex Sucks to see you part out yours but I know we all have to move on at some point. When RWD, turbos and 6-speed taunts become too haunting the TL doesn't quite fit that bill.

Gorgeous 2G...of course, you're your own worse critic but A) the badges don't look bad on there...B) the unmodded headlights are actually in great condition and the amber goes well with the blue C) stance is perfect...don't need it any more flush IMO.
That said, rolling fenders isn't that big of a deal...so go for it! Also, even tried a heat gun to separate the glue from the paint? Either way, even if you get it off, if it's that bad, it's probably etched in the clear anyway and you'll have a "ghost" badge

The only reason I'd like to heighten the stance is because the rear is pretty flush but the fronts have nothing, so I'd like to even it all out with 15mm spacers all around.
It's all just thoughts. Believe me I'm content with how she is

Klectic it's actually 3m Di-noc carbon fiber wrap that matches my handles and b-pillars. I have another sheet on the way to finish the window trim that's starting to flake off.

Volly: Thanks a lot man! Always appreciated from a guy with an equally stunning TL. I actually posted a set of pictures last summer with my kit on that I got last spring. But yeah I remember the non-kitted days and how stubborn I was. I'm glad you guys convinced me enough to pull the trigger because it made my car look 100% better. $1500 well spent.
TypeS3xy: Thanks for the comment They're actually not blacked out, but rather carbon fiber wrapped that does look nice in the sun. I simply prefer it over chrome. I would ultimately prefer body colored but unfortunately I don't have an A-Spec.
Reese: Cheers man
-Vip3r-: 'Preciate the kind words. Get on your own ride man, it's well worth it. It takes time but you could probably do the pillars and handles at least in one day. The handles are quick. The pillars I had to sand down and what not. The grille wasn't too bad either.
I just did my fog light surrounds as well today, it all looks awesome all matched up!

I absolutely love this color. Always looks great on this generation. What a beautiful car. I would certainly give it more than two looks! Well done. I actually like the handles. Certainly worth all the $$ you've spent.

Asteroid: I think it's important for other members to know how you've modified your ride so you're welcome for the parts list. It's funny how I was actually able to make an exhaust with 4.5 inch single walled tips look respectable but I managed and I appreciate the comment. I know that most members on these forums wouldn't dare surpass 4 inches with the tips of their exhausts but we all have to have that little something different to stand out. They're huge tips but they've grown on me.
My buddy Kevin took the shots and he used a Canon EOS 7D. Not sure on the lens, but it was a telephoto for the two shots your liked. I LOVE the first shot as well, he has a great eye. My favorite is number 2.

Thanks a lot Donz, I'm very grateful to have a good buddy with photography skills. Makes all the difference with nice pictures. I have to say learning to do a full detail on your own car is probably one of the most satisfying aspects of ownership. I may not know the ins and outs of everything mechanical, but when it comes to keeping my baby looking new I know my stuff.

Thanks Free! Preciate it. She certainly gets fanatic level care.
Yeah Donz, it's hard work. This year's detail took me 22 hours over 2 days, but it is relaxing and ever so satisfying. Good on ya for doing yours. Girls don't understand because they don't care.
