Talking Markeo Progress Thread a.k.a That car cray cray!

Here is some pics of my 99 tl i have had this car for 4yrs and it has over 250k on it. I have done alot of maint work to get my car runing great and to keep it that way. The interior looks nice but my seats are riping . Thanks to azine and some friends i will have this ugly duckling looking sexy!

I will post pics of my mods when i get home im @ work now.

Yes i know the paint is cray, the car needs to be slammed, rear tails need to be changed to 02-03 tails, rims gota go 2. These are things that will be chaged and posted in this thread as i get to them. Also some photos will be taken on my phone but i will do my best to get em taken with my camera.

Interior photos will be posted next.

You know, if the car was hammered on some flush wheels, the flat black could be pulled off. All you need is coils and wheels to completely change the look.

Post Progress

When i first got my car i installed this pioneer avh-p4000dvd

Everyone was getting on me for my acura emblem being broke so i removed it then decided to try out the black mesh mod

I also blacked out my headlights 2nd attempt the 1st time was a complete fail but i did get new headlights out of it lol.

Removed amber side marker

Just got these mercedes h55 projectors on ebay for $45 shipped

They are non-bi xenon but im going to see if i can get the same pair but bi-xenon from a local guy. I didn't expect the projector to look so big but i sized it up to the headlight and looks like it will fit perfect.

Testing on my oem kit looks good but we will see at night.

Zantec ebay hid kit left and right on.(Inside the car)

Wired up for testing. It is place on top of the headlight so the light will be a lil taller then if it was installed inside the headlight.

1projector oe hid kit vs 2 headlights zantec hid kits(I do see some lighter marks but when its installed maybe the light will have a more even output if not i will upgrade the projector lens) Once i get everything i need i will start the retrofit.

Led door handle mod.

Led 7color rgb footwell lights lol(Wonder where my neons went)

03 civic foglights came in the look super big compared to the pocket in the bumper.

Installed but decided to upgrade to led since the leds i ordered my friend for headlights sucked. I told him to just buy an hid kit so i just changed the wire harness to fit the new led bulb looks good but hid will be coming soon.

Get tired of the wood grain so took them off and still haven't figured out what color paint or vinyl wrap i want.

Bought front pads, rotors, and a master brake just need to order the legend calipers. Im thinking or returning the rotors and buying slotted ones but the price my friend hooked me up with was too good to pass up so idk.

Got pulled over for the 3rd time in a month but no ticket i asked the cop to see the speed he claimed he clocked me at but he said you will see it in court. I called b/s since he never clocked me just sped up behind me and pulled me over. I decided maybe i should un-black my tail light and ever since i have been good so far.

They never mention anything about my tail lights but i think it sticks out so they like to mess with me idk? Will be like this til i order the 03 tl tail lights.

Need to buy a new mirrior

Fixed my egr flow problem. This clogged port is blocking the flow from the manifold port to the egr valve.(sorry the pic ain't the best)

Where did you get the power for the footlights , did you split from the door lights or .... ? and is it turned on by opening the door ?

All 4 lights are wired to a little box that is hidden under my steering column and powered straight to the battery. I turn the lights on/off when i want with a remote and can also change to different colors and different modes. e.g. strobe,slow/fast transition through all colors, etc.

If anyone is looking to do this all you need is this and some time to run the wires to make a clean install. http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-Color-RGB-...df1aed&vxp=mtr

I had to find a good use for my under glow kit and i see i did a pretty good job.

Those Xentec kits are junk. Put one in my wife's RSX as a temp thing, horrible bulb flicker, light scattered everywhere, and after the burn-in, they almost have a green tint (6ks). Pulled out in favor of 6k DDM slim kit, no more flickering, brighter, more concentrated...all around improvement.

Did my e55 projector retrofit will post pics later on today or tomorrow. Few things i need to do to be 100% on my headlights.

1.trim bezel to fit in the housing or find a smaller one.

2.buy ddm 55w 5k kit.

3.buy ZKW-R Clear Lens upgrade

4.do color mod

5.buy halos and led for the inside of projector. Might do red for both but i would like to use the ring in the day time so might get color changing rings.

6.buy v3 triton led switchbacks

Last edited by lvlarkeo; 12-01-2012 at 05:03 PM. Reason: So i think 1 color would be better so i might do red rings with demon eye.

Yeah, i did a lil bending of the strips to get em to fit perfect cause they are pretty long. The rear lights sit in under the driver a passenger like this [C] (the C is the strip i didn't want to cut short cause i wanted it bright)

If you get it post pics here

Not the best cut but it's my 1st retrofit lol give me a break

Bezel will fit in headlight but i can't adjust the projector so til i trim this bezel or find a smaller i left it off.

Both done drying

No reflector just projector and bezel. Will post pics with reflector and projector later. Ordered my ddm 55w 5k kit and my clear lens

Thanks op. It is really easy to do a projector retrofit once you get over the fear of what if i break/melt my headlight. I should have my clear lens and 55w 5k kit in today so i will post pics later on. I ordered leds for my demon eyes this morning also getting cf wrap on friday so i will wrap my headlight housing.

Just ordered 20 blue and 20 white led bulbs prewired total $8 and type a neo wedge for my cluster. I will be adding extra leds to my cluster and going to try to make my own leds for the switches using the blue leds.

Will be trying to get my cluster to look like his.

Just experimenting with a 8in roll of rgb led strip.

few hot spots haven't fixed it

I plan on using white leds just showing what it looks like with a led strip.

So my mom offered me her 2012 dodge Avenger rt/blue for $300 a month and she will pay the insurance. She said if i want i can trade it in for another car. Im thinking of getting an acura or the challenger. What car should i get or should i stay with the avenger. Advice thanks!

Stick with the Avenger for now that way dont have to worry about additional payments . Id buy the Headlights off of you if you do sell them though
