hot import daze honolulu hawaii pimplux crew pics
http://www.hawaiihomebuilders.com/pimplux_HID_2004.htm
our crew took home
best infinity
best mercedes
best audi
best 4 door mild class
i did not take home any trophy, but i kinda know it by looking at the judge's face during judging, he probably don't know what i change on the car, is a mainland show so i guess they are not used to clean style.
all of us got a free set of tires from dunlop. they sponsor our crew for the HID show.
pics taken by fellow pimplux member, i will post my own pic later

you notice i did not put judges, i put judge is because they only have 1 judge per car, it sucks because if the judge don't know much about import tuning then my car could easily assume is stock, my score is based on his opinion only, alot of friends called me to congrats me but i told them i did not take home anything. this is the first show i went home empty hand.
i guess my judge is into more flashy stuff such as custom paint, lambo doors and conversion plus neon and APC, nice clean mods make him think is stock.

Very nice car. Could you take pics of every mod you've done?

the first set of wheels for the car was the volk III back in 2001, because is a +41, i already rolled the fenders and trim the bumper back then, but since then i always try a different set what is the max/limit is, with the work kh slam, it doesn't rub before with the nitto, but couple days before the show i put on the dunlop and rub very slightly, because the sidewall design on the dunlop is wider than nitto even they are same size at 225/35/19, i just let the tire to do the trimming on the bumper for me, the bumper is the only part that rub, not the fender, if i want i could adjust my camber kit to fit, but i want to let it rub so later i could try 8.5 stretch, some of my friends is into drifting, they always call my rims weak, because of the high offset and width, they run 225 on a 9.5 inch, i like that look and always see them in vipcar, i want to try a 225 on a 8.5, with the lip almost touch the back fender and the tire tuck inside.

yeah, i had 18 by 8.5 for about two years on mine...when i dropped it, it tucked in beautifully....and the offset was +45...no rubbing problems once i trimmed the bumper, and i didnt even need to roll the fenders...AND i ran a 225 40 18...you may wanna check out my old pics, maybe see if they help you out...but, i kinda want to use a 235 35 19...you think it would rub with a 45 ot on 8" wheel...the NJ roads SUCK, thats why i want 235 instead of 225, plus they only make the T1S in 235 hehe...
here is a nice pic that show it off![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
just wanted to use the canada smiley haha

with the extra 10 mm i think you might rub, but since you are on air, and you have no camber kit, looks like a 50/50 chance, hawaii road is just as bad, but i like stretch look more

as always... I LOVE your car... and damn, you got a lot of wheels!! send me a set you're not using!!!
as for njz... there are a few people that have recently posted pics that are running 19x8.5 +45 offset w/o rubbing. they have the fenders rolled... but they are running 225 series tires. they are boku and pdx3.2tl.
boku:

my suggestion: unless you have access (or enough $$$ to do trial and error) to the wheels you want so you can test fit them, go with something you KNOW will fit. good luck.

i used to have a brand new mugen grille for 99-01, dark DJ was interested at that time, but i sold it to the highest offer member.
mugen don't make coilover for our car, but they have sport suspension, only drop 1 inch from stock
