Comptech Catback Install

Had to get a new mod on in time for the Mass meet yesterday so i installed the comptech catback exhaust that has been sitting in my garage all winter after pieceing it together.

Ran around to 2 acura/honda dealers in order to find the correct gasket i needed. The gaskets for the exhaust to the y-pipe are the same as the stock TL-P or V6 accord gaskets, the type-s ones are too big.

After taking some fine steel wool, soap and water got the exhaust and b-pipe lookin pretty good for used:

Ripped out the entire old exhaust includeing the cat cause the cat 2 b-pipe bolts where shot.

Since the cat is shot too, and is getting replaced this week under warrenty i couldn't just cut the bolts. One bolt came off with the correct 14mm socket the other too had to have 13mm sockets hammered on in order to be able to take them off and on again.

Everything in, and the usually left side hanging low...

Nothing a couple hose clamps couldn't fix though......

Looks great..that Y pipe looks official. The bolts to the cat suck, I hated those bolts with a passion. How is the tranny? Mine is opening up pretty nicely now.

yeah i decided not to use the ramps either since the driveway is angled down, so just jacked it up instead.

Sounds sweet I tried making a quick video of it, but my camera has a crappy mic on it and didn't capture the true sound of it.

as for the tranny it is coming out of its shell. I can definatly tell the shifts are a lot quicker than anytime before.

again my camera sux at capturing the true sound, the nice deep rumble it puts out isn't capture in the short sound byte but should give u a decent idea. I also have the xspower headers installed along with the comptech ice box.
