Color matched headlights AM w/ a Twist
Sup fellow TLers, it's been a while since I have posted anything on here. Master degree programs have a way of taking away all free time. Anyway, since I'm home for summer, I decided to tackle a project I've been contemplating doing for a little bit of time now.
I color matched my headlights to my AM TL-S. It's not a perfect match, but its close enough for me and I am happy with the overall completed look. My "twist" was instead of just coloring the entire headlight, I wanted to leave certain areas chrome. My desire was to have a chrome "trim" around the light as well as the circle around the highbeam area. It turned out much better than I expected and I think by leaving a few areas chrome, it didn't darken my front too much which was a slight concern. Enough talking, on to the pictures!! Let me know what you think.
with the orange reflector
you can see in this pic what i mean about have the chrome trim areas.
This is the picture installed. As you can see, I removed the orange reflector. My first instinct was to leave it in, I should have stuck with that. lol. So I'll be ripping them open again to slap them back in there.
Final head on shot. Gives it a much meaner look. Overall, I'm happy! Well worth the hours I spent doing this!
My next mod is a modified roof spoiler for a 6th gen (98-02) accord. It will be coming in this week, so I will let you guys know how that turns out and post pics when I'm done.

wow, that came out amazing. works so well with the grille.
i was not interested in doing this myself because it usually looks too dark. i also have an AM, if i do decide to do this, this is the only way to go!

Now that I don't have reflectors on the side, anybody know of some nice white bulbs I can stick over there? And now I have more of an incentive to go HID in the fogs, either stick with stock color or go yellow.

And thanx for the compliments! I'll be leaving the reflector out.
