Black Roof on 2G TL...... what you think?

So I finally had a chance to get it done yesterday. A guy here in the bay area did the work and it came out pretty good. You be the judge...

when i did my car, i removed the grill and removed the chrome strips, sanded the chrome off with i think 320 grit paper, then wet saned them smoother, then primed and painted/cleared. then painted the grill. then installed the strips back on. they are just held in back with screws. the top piece on the hood just comes off with a few small bolts i think 10mm.

White cars with black tops look sexy. Did he use vinyl or paint it? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did he charge you?

I thought the same thing... it goes in a bit instead of a straight roof line like BMW...

in person it actually looks much nicer!!!

I like most use vinyl to do this for those asking, so that when I decide it doesn't fit my theme anymore, I could always take it off.

I think on SSM it would look pretty good as well.. if I had that color I would have done it too.

The guy in the bay area will do it for $80 if you have your own sticket, but it is actually better if you get the right stuff from him direct. I was lucky when he saw mine and said that I did get the good kind of sticker...

The guy is real cool and can even goto your house for a slight fee!!! We were doing this until 2AM... thats a soldier...

PM me if you want his info..

BAYAREA CA ONLY...

A better side shot of car...

I also think I might just get this set of headlights....

I like that the corner is a clear reflector, so you get the best of both worlds still.

I would really like it if our windshield and rear window didn't ignore the A and C pillars but good visibility ftw? :/

i think it looks pretty good. I say to bhlm, tint tails, and grill and you would be set.

I didn't know they had "aftermarket" lights for our cars. I was always told they gave bad light output and they have a tendency to get bad condensation in them.
