I'm going to float this out there. Another Sac meet in October. It will be cooler and I'm swamped through Sept.
1) DIY Rotors and Brakes - Tom's going to help, I'll supply the car and materials (slotted rotors) We have a canopy and a location
2) Pre-planned drive w/ pics
3) Photo shoot - maybe someone can scout some locations in advance
4) Maybe a late lunch/snacks
Any weekends in October better than others? We already have a number of photo shoot ideas. What do you guys think?

That and dodging responsibility keep me supremely fit- as shown in the pics~
say- can you photochop 10 pounds of me next time please!
Taking pro quality before and after pics is a great skill in collision repair- documenting damage, and sell a finished- gleaming-- perfect looking car-- pic to the owner!!

That is a sweet pic
If I have the cash, I plan to paint it two tone spring next year...black top half, rrp bottom...if so, I may have to black out the inside spokes of the rj wheels...I think it will look real sharp
Next mods though, slotted rooters and, per klepto recommendation, exhaust tips Looking forward to the next DYI meet...

a way to promote the meet is put a link in your signature to the meet planning thread- maybe put a few of the best pics from last 2 meets up as part of thread 1st post to show we can do it right!!
Make sure its posted in the main meet thread and send link to Ron A or fsttyms1 who will sticky it to all the gens and models for us.
PM your friends that dont spend much time online
ChicoOG need his brakes replaced soon- so thats why we are putting out a feeler for dates- a DIY lesson on front brakes at the meet so everyone can learn and do themselves! saves hundreds and done better than most shops-
get some good pics for a forum DIY, and of course seafoam lessons!! are always available- should have several experts here now~

In the mean time, I am having my kicks pulled are redone in October along with my rotors...I'll put it out there in Sept, to see if there is interest in a DIY/Photo Shoot meet in Oct.

you're welcome. It's been awhile since I photoshop pictures so i'm trying to get back to my roots . Notice the shadow of the license plate on the ground is also gone as well

I may go to the shop next week to get a quote, just to get an idea of cost

mmmm, close, but actually I'm thinking the "entire" top half of the car...
Thanks for giving that a shot.
I'd be interested in what color combo ideas people have...rrp and ???? Maybe the gun metal color of the bottom lip of the front aspec lip??? I want something that is pretty sophisticated/high-end looking

im with them mike, the entire top half, including pillars would look so-so. just get teh versus motorsport front bumper. then you'll be forced to get the supercharger and intercooler

The only thing I don't like about just the hood, it doesn't flow cleanly into the grill and front end...like a bugati
#118
i vote for just black roof only. hood will be too much alike of the bugatti you mentioned.
if hood, roof and trunk lid are all black, it reminds me the look of "Socal finest"......... hahahahahahahahahaha............
just a black roof looks more clean and more of a M3 CSL or M6 two tone style.... simple but subtle.

See the line on the hood that flows naturally to the front bumper along side of the grill? the black area would be a little narrower...does that make sense?
If that were followed down to includ the area just under the grill using the v shaped bumber contour as a cut off...I think that could look good...
roof only could be TOO subtle...now is the time to consider all options, once the paint is laid down, your done...
Thanks for the suggestions so far
