03 TL Type-S Slow build
Hi there everyone! I've had this 2003 TL Type S for about 3 years now and it's been nothing but good to me. Ever since I got the car I wanted to get suspension and wheels but never really got around to it. Recently, I purchased some Tein Street Advance coilovers and will be installing them soon (within two weeks). I just purchased some Work VSKF's with moderate rash for a decent price today so that's what I plan on running on this baby. The wheels are 17 x 7 +45 I'll be putting those on as soon as my coils are installed and my Muteki SR48 Burning Blue Neon lugs come in . I don't plan on lowering the car too much because I want to be able to drive at a decent speed, I was thinking maybe only 2" F 1.6" R but we'll see what happens I only want to post one picture of my car stock because that's all we'll need to track the progress of my build over time. My finished product isn't going to look half as nice as the VSOP TL or as other 2nd gens on these forums but I'm going to do my best to give it some style. Aside from coils and wheels, I only have some mudflaps that will go on the same time coils and wheels do as well. In the future, I plan on getting a full OEM lipkit, rain guards, HID kit, and an upgraded audio system, The This is going to be a learning process so I hope you guys can help guide me in the right direction. To anyone who would like to give their input, please feel welcome. My only request is that you don't flame and bash on my car. I get that everyone has their own style but please respect mine as I'd respect yours. I will make sure to take many pictures and upload as to track my progress.

Update
After a long delay, I finally got my visors, Tein Street Advance and wheels on!! I was going to install the mudflaps as well but I don't think they'd look nice with my choice of wheels, thoughts?? One of the bolts that tightened the fork of my front passenger side snapped because it was corroded so I had to buy a new strut just for the fork, ran into a few more problems so I just took it to a local shop in Garden Grove, CA.-.- Lugs are Muteki SR48 Burning Blue Neon with a luglock on each wheel. Anyway, my car is maxed out right now and I'm waiting for the coils to settle before playing with them and adjusting them to my liking. To be honest, I thought my fitment was going to be a lot worse since my wheel specs are kind of booboo but I can manage with this for now. Was planning on getting my VSKF's rebuilt but I recently got laid off so now I'm going to have to wait on a lot of things for this car. No need to rush,, this is a work in progress and it'll continue to grow Sorry for the shitty pics, if there's any particular angle that you guys would like to see of my car, please feel free to ask and I'll post it.

No mudflaps it is then! Got the car with the tints on so I do plan on redoing them. Maybe 25% rears but I'll probably have the legal percentage of tint (not really sure what it is in CA) on the fronts to avoid getting harassed by cops.

i've had 25% rear and 35% fronts for my TL but on my Lexus.. i just stuck with 25% all around.. looks better when the tint matches all around...
as long as you're not giving a cop a reason to pull you over, they won't bother you.. i drive next to cops everyday on my commute and not a single one bothered me.. *knock on wood*
good job on the pick-up. miss my 2nd Gen TL

Lookin good.. Give those calipers some TLC.. I personally prefer black calipers but its your call, anything is better than Stock Color with a Hint of Rust.

+1 on the calipers. You got fresh wheels and rotors, the calipers look out of place stock.
My TL is white, and I painted my calipers white to match after I got rotors and wheels - it def makes the whole setup and is so easy to do!
Otherwise, clean ride man.

Do you have pics of how yoru car looks lowered on those mud flaps? I honestly cannot decide whether to lower and do full body kit, or lower and leave them on. I thought they would hella scrape.
