thanks for the PM!

oemacuraparts.com lists it for $2.50 as a silencer tube. this is probably worth it to pick up at the dealership vs. ordering online.

I was wondering what you thought of my earlier posts above, about my sound still being present? When I jack my car up and touch the dust cover (i think thats what you call it)it recreates the noise I think I hear in my cabin. Its so bad now that when I sit down just to start the car I hear the clunking from the tien's.This cant be normal, and since I did apply the isolator's, 4 to a spring w/ the adhesive.I am starting to believe I may have a new sound. So I guess what I am asking is do you think i'll inccur any trouble if I remove that plastic piece(which just sits there loose). Thanks

Can you take off the dust cover? Sure but I would imagine it will allow dirt and dust to get in there. I haven't looked at my Teins in a while but I believe the dust boot protects the shock a lot from dirt.

I want to take it in to a shop to have it looked at just in case its a balljoint or bad motor mount......I'm hoping they dont give me a hard time about the isolators being on...........One shop I went to said this was the cause(isolators),but I told him that NO the problem was there before and the isolators were a fix..........what really pisses me off is I never had this problem when my car was slammed. But as soon as I adjust up to a one finger gap all hell breaks loose...why me

It was pretty much right after they were installed. How low are you dropped?
