there are no pre-outs on stock HU, but you can run an adapter from HU w/o by-passing the EQ I believe. I have stock HU and am running 2 12's now for over a year and no problems. The adapter was like 20-30.00 but install is a bitch, you have to remove entire center consol and the dash to get to the back on the HU. Make sure you know your HU code or you won't be able to turn the HU back on.

A much easier place to get the signal is from behind the seat and only takes about 5 min to get to.

Nope not kidding. Thats where the amp is for the sub. and the leads run right to it. Or you can get a line higher capacity line converter and hook it up to the high side (the leads that conect to the sub) in the trunk!

Yeah thats what the shop did to my 00 TL before I changed my headunit. Its a signal but if you want a real clean signal go with an aftermarket headunit and run the rca wires straight from the headunit too the amp.

You need a LOC (Line out converter) basically what this does is taps into your rear speakers to get a pre-out signal. What you do is hook up the wires on the converter to teh rear speakers then plug in the rca cables to it.. im not exactly sure what you do with the remote wire though.. sorry my system was hooked up to an aftermarket HU never to stock

you will need to run a power wire from the battery to the trunk. You will need to get a good ground in the trunk. You will need a line converter to hook up to the sub leads by the oem amp (behind rear seat) rca's to go from converter to new amp, and a remote turn on wire, either run from drivers side fuse panel or tap into it at teh oem amp

Yeah, You can hook up an amp & sub with a stock HU. But your amp would have to have a Hi Output port. Its a special plug in type thing. It has 4 wires. All you do is tap into the middle sub, 2 + and 2 -.... This replaces RCAs. And the REM, you jus run the wire to the GROUND part of the amp.

Thats all it is.. Hope it was helpful...

IMPORTANT:: When you shut off the car YOU MUST DISSCONNECT the REM wire from the GROUND..
Or else you might blow your SUBS.
