wat do u guys think about this?

someone had posted this website a couple of weeks ago and ive been debating on whether or not to buy the lip kit for my tl off here. its comes out lower than ebay. $405 shipped and insured compared to ebay which comes out to $455 shipped.

http://raceappealkits.ecrater.com/pr...hp?pid=3950997

i know many of u guys would rather buy OEM quality but i dont have the money to buy it unfortunately so this is my only option. my car is lowered on tein s techs anyways so its not dropped too low. additionally, i pretty much drive around the same area and i know where potholes are. in other words, i really dont have to worry about destroying the front lip since i know where the bad parts of the road are.

so the question again; do u guys suggest i save $50 and buy the lip kit through that website or just buy it off ebay?

$50 is a nice chunk of change that goes toward painting and installing the lip kit. on the other hand, ebay has multiple sellers and i guess communication with the seller is a lot easier.

please share ur thoughts. thanks

P.S: i searched the forum before asking this question and nothing came out. so hopefully this is not a repost. if it is, im sorry for asking the same question.

it includes insurance too. u know how ebay is....w/e ur buying is cheap but then shipping is expensive or vice versa.

the race appeal shipping is 95 but im paying the extra 20 for insurance. still comes out to $405 in total. the ebay seller is increasing the price on something thats for sure.

still sounds like a good deal for $800 from acura. but yeah im basically getting this for half that price. painting and installation for the lip kit and my roof spoiler will prolly be another $150 at most. my mechanic is also the guy who does body work and he hooks it up nasty since hes a VERY OLD family friend. my dad has known him since they were in elemantary school in nicaragua lol.

i got a good deal on my roof spoiler too. bought it off some dude here by my house for $35.

after i install the lip kit im gonna have a buddy of mine do the black headlight housing and also either add yellow film strip for the fogs or just buy the bulbs.

i would have had everything done already but i didnt work for the past 6 weeks due to a knee injury. fucking blows but o well. patience is a virtue

I say go ahead and buy the kit but if you find a front OEM lip pick that up and sell the fiberglass one. You say you know your roads but once you drive somewhere else, thats where the trouble starts. I was the same way as well, I know all the roads here but once I go for a drive somewhere else and a pothole jumps at you, its so painful. So if you get a chance, pick up an OEM lip and you'll be good. I havent had any issues with clearance on the skirts, completely nothing on the rear, and i'm pretty low.

I have the same roof spoiler, it may not be that noticeable but its just right, but I am thinking about making a new one

I'm thinking of one like this

I'd buy the lip kit off that site, but like fobstylez said, I'd at least save to replace the front lip with an OEM,

yeah...^^^ buy everything but the front lip from raceappeal. Go OEM for the front...you can find them easily. the FRP fronts dont hold up well to accidental parking block encounters, road debris etc....

yup..fits almost perfect execpt when you put it on there is a 1/4 inch gap between the roof spoiler and the roof line.not really noticable cuz it's made from the same stuff the window visors are made from..so it almost blends in with the glass....only in the middle...the edges fit perfect..same length..and same curve as the edge of the glass..almost as it were made for our cars

it sticks out a bit, if I were to buy one, I would trim it down so it doesnt stick out as much but always a good option.

still havent bought the lip kit. 2 more weeks and im ordering it. reason its taking so long is cuz im deducting 125 off of my checks for this. so next check i get enough to buy the lip kit and then the following check i will also have enough to paint and install the lip kit and roof spoiler.

ill keep u guys posted
