The redline in the TL-P and Type-S is different, isn't it? So that would be off.

you can buy the assemblies for around 30 bucks each new and plug them into your existing cluster and things will work just fine. You will have a issue with the (i believe its the VSA/TCS light due to location but every thing else will work just fine. Redline will be higher so you will have to learn where it actually is on the new cluster

the needle and face assemblies. They come in one piece so you dont have to do any thing nut remove the old and replace.

Yes they will be correct for the 00+. 99s will need some custom work to get the gas gage to work properly (there is a thread on how to do it but search isnt working right now to find it). The only real difference is the Type-s has a higher redline. You wont be able to utilize it as your motor wont rev that high and you will have to remember that if and when you use SS

Um maybe because he wants something different. Maybe because he (like most) think the Type-s has nicer gages.

I find the reverse glow gauges to be extremely ghetto.
And buying anything from www.andysautosport.com is just asking for trouble.

The best we can offer is searching thru the old threads till the search button works. I WOULDNT buy the whole cluster. You have a 99 (which i didnt see before) which makes it harder. The temp and fuel gauge wont work properly on the 99 with the type-s gages. You have to do some work with reostats (or something like that) to get them to function properly.

Buy the face plates and stick them on. You will have to recalibrate every thing but every thing will work

I have a 2000 TL-p that I replaced with the stock gauges. I put my stock board in the TLS gauges so I could have my original mileage. Everything fit perfectly. TCS light does not come on when TCS is disengaged. Other then that so far everything seems to light up properly. I got the TL-s gauge cluster on ebay for I think 100 bucks shipped.

IMO it looks A LOT better then the stock TL gauges.

I have 02-03 Type-S gauges on my 99-TL-P.

Thing to Know when changing 99 to 02-03 gauges

When started your car, you when notice is that your Temperature needle is on "H" an stay there. The 99 has TCS an 02-03 has VSA, This problem only cause the VSA light stay "ON" (no big deal) You have D4 in 99 an 00+ up have D5. Your miles will not be the same. You can play catch with your new gauges Good thing it a plug an play. I change mine out B/c i like Sliver look then black face.

Thats why you should have put the gage assemblies INTO your cluster. You could have kept your original mileage
