Is it possible to swap an 03 acura 3.2L S with a an 03 3.2L TL basic. if so what has to happen. I know that the difference is that the TLS has an electronic speedo and the 3.2L TL basic has a gear driven speedo.

Could you elaborate? Swap what? you mean the transmission?
Because both transmissions use electronic speedo, What is different is the Power Steering speed sensor which is Speed Sensitive (Base) vs Torque Sensitive (Type-S).. The Speed Sensitive mechanism requires an extra pump that goes into the differential. You only need to close the loop that goes into the Power Steering speed sensor and that is it.. No extra mod needed.

Now if you are installing a Type S transmission into a Base remember that there are No holes for the Speed Sensitive mechanism in the Type-S so you will have to eliminate the extra Pump.
If your going from a Base to a Type S you will have to cover the hole in the Base Transmission as there are no Speed Sensitive pump in the Type-S.
