removing paint scratches from debadging

I have searched this topic and found countless ways to debadge. I took off the "A-C-U-R-A" badge last night and cleaned it and waxed, it looks great, but from a certain angle you can still slightly see the paint difference where they used to be.

You cannot see the marks from straight on, only from an angle. In some areas it looks like the paint was scratched in the form of the letter that was there. I would take pics, but im at work right now.

What product (scratch remover) should i use to take out these imperfections and make a seamless appearance?

by the way, you cannot feel the difference, my hand glides right over the area.

i believe any rubbing compound would work. 3m rubbing compound can be found at your nearest auto store.

I know these photos dont even show what I'm talking about, but I tried some Turtle Wax polishing compound with scratch remover and the scratch marks are still around the badge. Maybe I'm staring at it for too long.

In the DIY thread there is a DIY on debadging and polishing after wards. Look thru that. You probably just need a good polish compound to blend the area.

Finished product. I guess the paint defects aren't that bad and I can always fix them later, for now this will do. what do you think?

sorry, the pics were taken at night in my garage, I'll take some daytime shots and post them in the photos section.

Polish the area correctly and try to get rid of them. While he used a buffer, you can do it by hand with a little elbow grease.

Get some 3m Scratch X or similar polish (can be found in most autoparts stores or even better look up local auto paint stores and get even better materials) and polish the area to get rid of them

...and this
http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...?T1=MEG+G10307

neither worked.

DO NOT USE GOOGONE!

use a meguires 1-2-3 process and it will be gone and shiny. can be picked up at autozone or pep boys, 3 red bottles. its enough to do your whole car about 6 times and look like its wet.

do your tail lights too and they will be glossy.

What is in the 1-2-3 process? is there any type of sandpaper in it? because I dont think any type of "liquid or gel" is going to work, simply because I've tried them.

I'm thinking about buying this: http://www.amazon.com/Quixx-00070-US.../dp/B000UVUAFO

no they aren't that bad at all, you really can't even see them from a distance, thats the annoying part though. Nice weather my ass...it was 30 degrees this morning, I shouldn't live in Central Florida and have to scrape ice off my windshield.

This was taken from another forum post but this is almost whats going on with my car, but on a smaller scale, and my marks are black (not white).
