No heat
Hello,
Driving home today I noticed my heat won't work. Only cold air blows.
On the way there, I started to smell a strong smell for a few minutes. Wonder if that had something to do w it.
Thanks,
D

Hey Nollid, you have posted this under Performance Parts & Mods.....not relevant !
On your car's heater blowing cold air....underperforming a bit may be caused by the motor's T-stat stuck or something binding in the heater valve control mechanism.

Well after reading some older threads again, I looked under the dash on the passenger side and a see/here the Air Mix Control Motor working to close/open for AC/Heat.
Not sure why I can't get heat though. The thermostat is normal. Took the radiator cap off, saw coolant. The coolant reservoir is on the lower side but not past low.

Check up under the hood near the firewall. There's a wire cable from the mix control motor that may need lubed. How do you know that the T-stat is normal ?

I apologize, not the thermostat. I meant the temperate gauge on the dash sits right in the middle of H and C (once running for a few minutes of course).
I took it for a spin, and the heat worked.. didn't even do anything..
I will take a look at the wire cable tomorrow though. You don't have a picture of what to look for by any chance, right? I suppose, if memory serves me right, it is right near the hose that goes right into the firewall on the passenger side, about 8 or so inches right behind where the back left spark plug is?
