My dream tl-s

ok so i've had my car for a bit over a year now i bought it ised last spring with 68k/km for 17k. Its a blue type s Aspec with the two tone interior and the integrated sub.Anyways i've recently been looking into putting some money into my ride to make it real sexy, this is my list of parts:

1.cl-s 6spd conversion
2.heads ported planed polished
3.CAI
4.headers
5.pulley
6.spacers
7.ECU
8.tranny work to drop the top speed down a notch but give it much more balls.
9.18's
10.2inch drop
11.acura 2009 side by side exhaust tips molded into the rear skirt

If there's anything you feel i have missed please feel free to tell me and also i want your opinion on the project.ty

FI = forced induction = supercharge or turbocharge!

Since you have an A-spec...I'm assuming you are from Canada. If so, which city?

If you do the 6MT conversion, you probably don't need to do any tranny work to lower your gear ratios. IMO the ratios of the 6MT are very well-spaced.

cool and the 6spd is about 150lbs lighter also... im from sherbrooke in quebec... it already has SRI but im thinking going CAI... oh and i blacked out the taillights but i taped and cut out an acura badge just over the red tailight so at night just cruising ppl behind me see the badge all lit up and when i hit the brakes the honda boys get a face full... lol

You can't really calculate HP at the crank, it's more like guessing when you do that, and my math is bad but, I don't think you're at 400 hp with those mods. Most people with a supercharger fall in the lower 300 whps, one CL guy has a 372whp and another with over 400whp. If you want a really quick ride, get one of them custom gt35r turbo kits that like... two of the tl owners have. That with forged internals, a 6speed and a shot of nitrous... you'll be unstoppable.

i dont wanna be the best though just a respectable car and i want my ride very tough and durable...i know several ppl who put turbo's on B18's and they dont last nearly as long as a stock B18. And for some reason i wanna teach some people a lesson about honda/acura cars...in quebec our cars are not much appreciated...most people say without either s/c or turbo any honda/acura is a mad piece of ¢£@¤. if i have close to 400hp at the crank with the 6spd conversion my lil acura is gonna give plenty of people a scare. Mustangs are like arseholes around here everyone's got one and with those numbers I'm gonna piss a few baby-boomers off lol.

heatsoak

i've heard and read now way too many times about the heat-soaking issue and i'm wondering what could be done to avoid this problem. Can an intercooler be fitted to a non turbo or sc car...or maybe bigger radiator...maybe some hood traps or something...got any other ideas ppl???

if you really wanna cool air temperatures..

i suggest you take out the fog lights..

take off any uncarriage plastic crap on the bottom, take off the fender lining and take out the plastic cowl where the windshield wipers are.

no point in doing one if you're not gonna do all of them..

get Thermoblock spacers and then do the coolant reroute away from the throttle body
then, get the mugen thermostat and some of the other mugen cooling mods.

cool cool thanks for the info im gonna smoke a splif but i think those scoops on the picture would look killer on a tl clean looking not to much and yet effective... as for the wiper plastic part im kinda hoping the scoops do the same thing cause i find that mod mighty fugly...

well, by 2011.. there will be better cars out..
like how there are already better cars out.

and if you're doing all this mod, theres no real point if you're not gonna change the exhaust.

you need to free up the exhaust.

ATLP exhaust "gains" or frees up 10 hp and 11tq to the wheels

look into that group buy on heeltoeauto.com

search ATLP 2G on youtube. you'll see my car.

then.. look into a High Flow Cat and a DC Sport headers from excelerate to free up more exhaust flow.

port and polish your TB, IM and intake runners also if you wanna really build your engine

look into some other people's builds.. some stuff about RL pistons and what nots.

no man im just sick of being the nice guy that no body notices cause the typical steroid pumping joe drives a mustang that makes more sound then power... Its sick around here how much taco you can actually get just for your ride but i'm ina healthy 4 yr relationship.
