I thought we might try a new idea... how about everyone list their top 3 favorite mods for the 2G TL? Links, pictures, reasons, whatever are welcome.

To better split things up, you could list your top 3 favorite performance mods, and top 3 favorite aesthetic mods.

i dont have much mods compared to you guys but top 3 on my car are:
1. tein ss
2. oem kit
3. comptech axleback

 

for the tl i'd say
1. drop - better handling and of course slammage always looks nice
2. oem kit - astetics changes the look WAY better
3. headers - most power increases.

 

1. Racing brake with hawk pads
2. Lowering
3. Good set of tires

 

1. Retrofit Projector headlights
2. OEM Kit with WW rear
3. Tein Basic Coilovers

 

if i had more money and more skills:

if i was me:

I have a stock 2002 TL 3.2...what would be the best and easiest quick mod to get more power?

 

remove the intake resonator, quick, costs nothing, and u get some power with a nice intake noise. or intake, pulley, headers.

I dont want to lower it I wanna keep the riding height the same but I wanna make the engine a beast!

how do I remove the intake resonator?

 

search. you should remove the bumper then its pretty much self explanatory, its the bottom black "box"

Before the 6 speed swap.

#1. Would have had to be the shifter mod of reversing the way SS worked.
#2. Brakes (slotted rotors and green stuff pads)
#3. Removing the resonators.

Hmm, so far most peoples lists seem to be focused on the exterior.

Anyone wanna give a crack at interior stuff?

 

interior is classy as it is already...i wouldnt do anything else but maybe put a Double Din pioneer w/navi or something of that nature..i have a flip up 7" but it gets in the way of my heater/ac controls.....

 

best interior mod in the world is OntarioTL's LED guages and climate control, etc.

 

Definately have to agree on that! It completely transforms the interior.

Indeed....

I both hate and envy them greatly, but hope to one day get that mod done as well.

 

Mine are totally asthetic.

1) Mugen Spoiler (no explanation necesary)
2) Sarona Roof spoiler ( to me it flows really wel with the lines of the car)
3) Hid fogs ( i hate hid lows with halogens under, gotta match)

Im gettin a flip up but getting it cusomted so it wont block my ac heater controls. But do you like your flip up?
