Welcome to AZine. Google is a good place to start. Also, you can use the AZine search bar.

Welcome Curleefries. Question for you. Your statement, " looking to tune my TL " , could be interpreted, a couple different ways. Do you mean, " tune " as in getting your car to run, as smoothly and efficiently, as possible, or TUNE, as in getting it to go faster?

Haha I can see how that’s very confusing! I’ve gotten everything pretty clean and tuned it up like that, I’m talking bout power. I know the 03 TL tranny can’t stand up to anything heavy. I’m not looking for a huge tune. Don’t want a turbo, just a light tune.

A set of DC Sports headers and down pipe will give you some boost. DO NOT buy Manzo headers!

I can’t get headers for various reasons including some of my dads reasons bc I still live under his roof. I have a magnaflow catback exhaust with a straight pipe (kinda) cutout with a valve in it but I kept the cat. How much do headers help my car anyways??? Just out of curiosity.

Out of curiosity, what issue/s does your dad have with aftermarket headers?

Noise I guess I’m not even really sure. He says he won’t let me get the car to where I “have to work on it all the time” but that’s what I want :/

To answer your question on the performance bump, I haven't seen any dyno charts(might be some on the 2G CL sister forum) but the gains can be anywhere between 10-15HP depending on the motor/exhaust setup. I can tell you for sure that my seat of the pants improvement in power was VERY noticeable, particularly in the high RPM vtech range.

Maybe some more knowledgeable peeps will chime in.

Paper thin tubing which is louder than hell, terrible fitment, and the hardware supplied is cheap. Nothing lined up at all and required a LOT of persuasion just to bolt up. DC's on the other hand fit perfectly. Tubing diameters are smaller as well, slightly larger than OEM but 1/4" smaller than the DC's. Seat of the pants performance between the Manzo's and DC's are like night and day. It's one of those "you get what you pay for" kind of things.
