hp and economy dont go together

remove intake resonator box (see `resonator delete` in DIY) and install K&N air filter
cheap easy good source of outside colder air to the engine

the diy master list link https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/new-official-2nd-gen-tl-diy-thread-706083/

oh no, the noobs will be running to ebay now looking for the mystery mileage and hp chip!!

200 hp,,is that reduced from my current 220+ or an extra 200 ?
and it gets 500 mpg?
by itself?
not being pushed by workers found in front of home depot?
Put a Main Sail on it too??? or just a Jib?

the gains of either for the cost simply are not there
thats why the easy option is remove the intake resonator box below the air filter box
and install a K&N air filter
gives you colder air from outside-via lower grill- and a large cubic capacity of stored air for on demand use
ck diy section `Resonator Box Delete`

Gas Mileage:
-Drive like an old lady
-Don't mod your car (you WILL drive harder for the funz)

Horsepower:
-Headers. They are simply the most efficient mod in terms of $/HP

driving like an old lady isnt the most efficient use of the cars torque band

get up to speed so the car can run in the highest gear possible
Not slowwwwwwwly shifting thru low gears...

The K&N is worth it never buy another filter again because its washable. Plus with the intake res removed it makes a nice sound. And yeah a sail gives easily a 200bhp increase.
