I want to upgrade my HID kit to 8000k

Hey guys. I wanted to upgrade my hid kit from 4500k to 8000k. I've chafed with a few people about it. All I really need to do is just buy the bulds. Some people say that they would just leave it alone. What do you think?

Don't go past 6000K. 4300 is stock, 5000k is ideal.

I just did mine going from 4300K (stock) to 6000K. There is a definite loss in visibility. But, I knew that going in. That's why I put in yellow fogs to make up for it.

8000K probably looks nice. But, there is a tradeoff.

Yes all you need is the bulb, make sure you get D2R, no other bulb base will fit in our housings sockets except for D2R.

Yeah I love the color the 8000k give off. I think it would look hot. But I don't know if I wanna do it still LOL. Alot of people on here say don't do it. That it would be a downgrade?

It is a downgrade in terms of actual usable light output. Put it this way, black light is 12000K. Higher K's doesn't necessarily mean better visibility.
