HID bulbs

I know nothing about HIDs other than that they are sexy and tls have them. I was wondering if these bulbs could be straight plug and play with the stock ballasts or whatever or if i would need to get the whole kit I want 8000k to 12000k would these replacement bulbs work with the stock tl ballasts http://www.hid-sin.com/replacements.htm

The consenus of educated persons here say to ditch the high number bulbs.
They are not more powerful, only higher in lightwave color

Stay with the stock 4100 or 4300 and you get the most light on the road to see by.

If you choose to upgrade your stock bulbs I would go with a reputable brand like KAIXEN or Phillips. They are plug and play. Your best option would be to go to something like 6000k (extreme white w/ a hint of blue) or 6500k (extreme white w/ a hint of purple). They even offer 8500k which is extreme blue. Now the first two bulbs you will not notice a difference in light output. They in fact may appear more bright to the naked eye although technically they have slightly less lumen (light output). The 8500k you will lose a touch of light output but nothing that noticeable.

ill post up pics of the difference in the 4300 and 6000 k when i get my TL back. i just bought the 6k for my fogs and the stock 4300 k is still there. man there is a big difference. the 6000k makes the 4300 look like stock halogen bulbs when fully warmed up. thats why im going to convert my 4300 to 6000. there is a slight difference when i see it on the road. i like the 6000k. i think its perfect. 4300 still looks too yellowish. but ill post up picks next week when i get my car back. but i like 6000k.
