has anyone swapped their OEM Nav for an aftermarket nav?

Sorry if this is the wrong sub-forum.

I am looking to replace my OEM navigation unit with an Pioneer Avic-Z2 and put it in the same spot in the dash as the current Nav unit. I will not be removing my OEM Bose stereo. Has anyone done this? I called a local installer and he said they could do it for $250 for the install and $150 for some fiberglass kit (I guess so the unit fits in that spot?) I want it in the same spot so that the screen is relatively at eye level. And I want to go with the Z2 so I can get the traffic nav features.

If someone has had it done or has done it themselves, please post some pics.

For those who have done it - How do you control the A/C functions with the aftermarket unit? The OEM nav allows you to turn up or down the fan and which vents it uses.
