Greddy E Manage Blue/Ultimate - should I go for it?
Greetings, comrades. Just to get it out of the way - yes, I have been actively using the search function to find the answer to my question, and so far it's only led to even more confusion. My question is quite simple: is E Manage Blue/Ultimate a viable tuning solution for a 2nd gen TL? In my case - for a 2001 Honda Inspire (which is the right-hand drive variant of the TL), with a J32A2 and an auto. My goal is to get as much horsepower as I can out of my naturally aspirated J-series without resorting to nitrous or forced induction, and since I've run out of bolt-ons to install - the only thing left is a tune. Anyway, I've seen two kinds of opinions on the forums. On one hand, some people say that it indeed works. But on the other hand - I have read people saying that the stock ECU will override any sort of piggyback unit. So, where doth the truth lyeth? Can I safely go and buy myself a E Manage of one variety or another, and use it to tune my car? Or will this just lead to pain and suffering? Thanks.

What mods have you done to your car?
My assumption is without FI or nitrous or significant engine mods a tune won't probably gain you much. |
