There are a lot of exhaust to choose from. But as far as the hp goes, you will not be seeing much gains if your only mod is an exhaust. It will be for looks and sound mostly, unless if you start putting on other bolt-ons.

I'm not really familiar with the exhausts for the 2g TL but I would give a recommendation to check out Magnaflow. They make really good quality exhausts but you just have to build them yourself.

if you want to bump up the HP, get a set of headers.

Apexi WS2 catback for a very nice deep tone but not loud. Take G35 tone but much more rich and alive. Youtube it, u'll find a couple 2Gs with it.

there are cheap headers that are a hit or miss, search about them. i personally would get CT headers but they cost a lot of money.

you can swap out the intake manifold from a 2009+ TL and get some good gains. search more, there are tons of info on this stuff. check out the guys over on the CL forms.

if you haven't already, remove your intake resonator, or buy a cold air intake.

^ You just have to be careful where you drive. And don't drive in a big ass thunderstorm if you don't need to.

SRI will barely give you any gains because of the heat soak and it'll just make noise... CAI gains will be fairly consistent and will yield more gains than an SRI.

I put a Tanabe Hyper Medallion catback on my car and it seemed to help out the mid range and top end a good bit. That stock exhaust is just so restrictive and small... =/

I'm going to be installing my AEM CAI next week, so we'll see how much my butt dyno can feel..

Is that a Bolt On or you Need some Mods?? Also what about the IRCM?? IMHO I only want it cuz it looks just SOOO BAD ASS I could care less about performance gains but I dont want to Light up my Check Engine in the Process.

get a custom exhaust, its cheaper and just as good if not better.
go 2.75" to the y, then 2.25" to dual mufflers of your choice. Will sound good, and have decent gains..

Mine is 2.5" straight to a single in/dual out, crossflow Gibson 2.5" muffler and it flows really good with the headers, but too loud. Sounds like a sport bike..lol..with mine, a high flow resonator is needed, you wont with the other setup i suggested for you...
you may have 250-350 in the whole thing, pending what mufflers you pick.
i only had $160 in mine...lol

Meh, I'd go 2.5" to the y, and split into 2.25".

Even with 2.5", there's gonna be some drone. 2.75" would just be excessive imo.

unless the Y is custom 2.75 is too large, especially to hit the stock Y. It will just be a large bottleneck. 2.5 is more than large enough. Id buy a custom Y that is2.5 in 2.25 out to the 2 mufflers. That will be plenty.

Yea yea I know what a repost is lol. Even if he did just give the same exact description, it would still contribute by holding more weight.

Repost smiley was just for the lulz

I love my Apexi - great sound and great installation.

I have had problems with the last few MagnoFlo I have installed on a few cars . . . just not the same as they used to be but still sounds great

A lot of people love the Tannabe and CT if you're a baller
