Exclamation Engine Swap TLp to TLs intake manifold ???

I have a few questions for the gurus i want to swap engines and im looking to have the engines swapped asap. The real question i have is the second stage butterfly valve on the type s is it a must have install as in do i need to install the window switch? Could i just open the valve permently and it be ok or is there more to it then that???

i think there's more to it than that because it closes for a reason on the tls. maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

Are you doing a full engine swap or just the intake manifold?

You will need ECU and wiring to make it all work correctly

thats a given ecu and wires.... I was mainly focused on that second throtle at the other end of the intake manifold......is it a reason it only opens at a certain time or is it fine to just wire it open all the time?

The ECU is tuned for it to open at a certain time (for lower end and upper end power). Now if you plan on FI then it can be left without. If your changing the ECU and wiring then the wiring will be there for it. ALl you have to do is buy the IMRC control box

i think i might just go mdx 3.5 and get a RL crankshaft and call it a day i know the type s is more of a performace engine but the mdx should have a pretty good power band... or does it not?

that MDX is gunna work in your car unless you use a 6 speed tranny and a full 6 speed swap.

600 is too much for an auto type-s engine. you can get one for 500 or less.

i have my imrc completely open. you lose low end torque but it really kicks when vtec comes in.

however, i am buying a type-s ecu in the future so that i can have a functioning valve. its worth it.
