DC Sports Header Carb Cert
DC Sports Header Carb Cert
Had some time to sit down and look through the instructions and other stuff that was sent with the headers, and here is the answer some of you have been waiting for.
"Your DC Sports Header is carb exempt and has been exempted by the air resource board. This certification is not a guarantee that your car will pass emissions testing. A normally operating vehicle with our header will pass emissions testing but due to the many variables we can not and will not be liable for any cost incurred by the user to obtain a smog certificate."

Not sure. I am waiting until next weekend, I am taking a little trip up to fsttyms1 place and I am going to let him test fit the headers to see if they will work on his soon to be 6speed and then we are going to put them on my car, will let you know once we get all done.

I did not have any vibration or at least I did not feel any vibration at all; however, I have little hissing sound when press hard on gas pedal around 2.5k rpm and up.
Regarding about CARB legal, it's a little confusion! On the installation instruction sheet, it said CARB pending; while there a separate sheet (Important information) said CARB exempt.
Checking the DC Sports website, in the F.A.Q section, I found this:
"Question
How do I obtain a C.A.R.B. sticker for my header?
Answer
You can either mail or fax a copy of you Invoice (proof of purchase) to the Customer Service Dept. Only one E.O. tag will be issued/invoice.
Guess, I might call them on Monday to see what happens.
Here is the scaned copy of the papers:
With CARB exempt
With CARB pending
