cai installed! next day, down pour!

short ram out cai in....installed partially...but got late so left it as is....it came with some rubber piece..looks like it goes on the screw by the battery...but screw wasnt long enough so left the old one...plus the metal piece to hold in intake in place didnt reach the hole anyways...it didnt reach because the filter is rite on the bumper and cant go any more foward....im thinkin of cuttin it...or is this the way it should go??

also...as while i was driving..ran over a puddle didnt think it was big...but water went everywhere...pulled over just touched the filter to see if it was wet...and it was soaked...the puddle wasnt high jus a lot of splashing...

my v2 cai slants down too. I bought an injen hydro shield for the filter as a little added protection. It will also act as a prefilter.

get a fender liner and it'll stop water from splashing on to your filter. get it asap before you hydrolock your motor if you get in deep enough water

Get yourself a fender liner, Driving without one is stupid(especially with a CAI). You will have all sorts of problems without it. Your filter will clog fast, get wet EVERY time it rains and be susceptible to all sorts of damage.

Also get the clips to hold the other one inplace properly so that it doesnt rub on the tire.
