just make sure you dont get caught or you wont be able to get your full license till 18 or 21 or something.

and at you saying you drive pretty well. typical teenage mindset. i thought i was the BOSS when i was 16. no one was a better driver than i was. but you havent been exposed to enough dangerous driving conditions to say that you are a good driver yet. they say it takes an average of about 5 years of driving to really become an experienced and "good" driver, which is part of the reason why your insurance decreases significantly at 21.

anyways back on topic, good choice on the KN filter. no need to waste money on a full CAI.

Lul I remember the first time I drove. I didn't know that the car would move forward even if you didn't press the accelerator. I was like "Why is the car moving?!! OMG"

Nerd, you shouldn't add any mods to gain MPG. It's true that they can increase it, but they'll never pay for themselves. Especially with the heavier foot you'll eventually get.

^I dunno what type of crazy town you're living in, but my shit dropped by $2000 once I hit 21.

no typo: insurance dropped by $2000, which means it was about $2700 just to get insured.
perfect driving record, licensed age 17

Just to verify I dont think I am the best driver out there, I know I still have a lot to learn about driving, but I am just saying I am a good driver for how old I am, like I know most of the rules of the road and all that shit cause I've drivin in traffic, but thanks anyways.

Wow really? Everyone I know get increased insurance rates at 21 due to drinking age. If your a male, it gets pretty bad.

i dont think drinking age matters. i mean, i drank more when i was 18 then i do now lol.

but yeah my insurance cost went way down. i dont remember by how much but it was a large number. i have perfect driving record since age 16 as well and am up to date on defensive driving courses.

Every state is different... Louisiana doesn't drop significantly until you're 25.

The cheapest way to do it is to buy a ebay intake for a honda civic, years can range from 92 to 00 and customize it by pretty much turning it around and cutting a little bit off. I paid like 26 bucks for a nice 3 inch intake and it came with a filter. I painted it black and put a "i love my TL" sticker on it and everyone tells me it looks sick. Juss something u might wanna consider.

Best:
One piece CAI tube
Best sounding filter I have ever heard, It gives a slight whistle between 1st and 2nd with moderate throttle, not full throttle.
It does not give that horrible v2 drone type sound at all at full throttle.
Cheapest:
189 shipped.

Cheapest and best solution.

Bang from the buck DIY intake; make your own Ice Box!!! keep your stock box that sits inside, remove the filter inside the box, extend a angle curved pipe down the bottom end of the filter box and attach a filter to it,.... custom straight pipe from the throttle body to the other end of the stock filter box. buy your parts at a autozone, napa, o'reileys or whatever auto store is around to get the piping.

i did this and noticed greater torque gains, noticable smoother shifting and a sound/breathing differance compared to regular cold air intake set up.

also its been said and proven that the stock filter box holds a colder temperature then regular intake piping.. also be sure to seal any gaps of the filter box. i used Quick Steel for a sealent and im very happy with my results!
