I'm thinking about buying a used AEM cold air intake from a guy here locally for my 2000 TL. He gave me the part number which is for a short ram intake. He said he also had a down pipe to convert it into a cold air intake? Is that how AEM cold air intakes are? A short ram intake plus a down pipe makes a cold air intake? Are any other parts other than the short ram intake and the down pipe necessary to fully convert it into a cold air intake? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

thats pretty much it...jus make sure it comes with the coupler to connect the two pipes

 

thats sorta what i have. i bought mine from satinsilver on here and he had it cut into 2 pieces i can conveniently shorten it for the winter.
