Above the parking brake there is a grommet you can run a wire thru. And yes unplug the stock sub if you are adding a sub.

i ran my wire through the firewall. i just pushed my screwdriver with the wire
attached (making another hole) and that was it, no leaks or nothing.

Its like 50 bucks for install and they always say prefessionl will always sound better than you doing it yourself, i would only do it if i was a profes. installer or a friend is. Glad i have friends that are LOL!

Im not and there are MANY others that arent "professional" that i can guarantee their installs sound every bit as good if not better than those that are paid to do it.

The bottom is held on buy 3 bolts. Once removed you have to lift UP on the seat to unhook it from its top location.

from what i have read when i was looking into this it actually is better to get a sub in a custom box...i think there is a kicker 8" u can buy with the correct depth..but from the reviews it doesnt sound as good as a sub in a box..

The mounting depth is very limited when trying to replace the stock sub.

Go aftermarket with a nice box.

depends on how hard u wanna "bump"....i had a 12" kicker wit a kicker amp and that was good enough for me...i had to get rid of that becuz of the stroller i had to put back there...but imma look into gettin a 10" custom box so it sits flush against the side of the trunk so i can put things back there...

Like posted above, there are a few spots. They are there, you just have to look for them.

i have two 12" subs in a sealed box. what kind of amp should i get? 800 watt two-channel or a 1000 watt mono-channel?

subs are jbl duals. should i stay within the same company for the amp or mix and match with another really good amp?

Risen from the dead!

I just finished my wiring for my setup, using 1/0 gauge through the grommet fsttyms1 is talking about. Super easy, yes, even with 1/0 gauge. However, I used techflex to protect the wire beforehand, and pulled it through nice and slow. I grabbed some coathanger-type wire (actually it was picture-frame wire but same stuff), and poked from the engine side to the interior. Then I taped the big 1/0 wire to my guide wire, and pulled on through. It was probably the fastest firewall wire install I've ever done. To get some extra access in the engine bay, I unclipped some doo-dad next to the area, and moved it out of the way. Then clipped it back. Not sure what it was, but it wasn't hard to deal with.

I drilled in my firewall on the passenger side under the floor carpet maybe like 6-12 inches from glove box. I dont quite remember. For me running the wire through was the hardest part, everything else is easy.

Hello guys any body in here uses a LOC setup ? If so how do you wire it ? I have a mono sub and i'm trying to tap into the sub for the RCA cables but can't get it to work, not sure of what i'm doing wrong here. I did the wire on my 02 Accord and it's working okay, but it wasn't a Bose though.
