Post 2000 Acura TL vs. 2000 Acura TL Type S

I know there are difference in the size of rims and suspension, plus the options available but my question is what are the differences that give the Type S 35 more horsepower

for starters there was no type-s in 2000.

From there there are a whole host of things different to get the hp. different cams, 2 stage intake, higher compression, different Cylinder linings different tunning,

put on headers, the unorthodox crank pulley, an intake - then you will be very close if not the same as a type S for a lot cheeper.
